editing due to current price rises, don't get me wrong food is nice, but the current price hike is unreal... last week a simple roll & butter 90p today £1.20 so pie,chips & gravy now £9.30!!!! scared to look at fish prices. Cook at home folks save a fortune....

Very epic. Haddock is tasty and chips are enormous so I’d go for small chips 🍟 about £6 for a dinner for two night easily

Large portions of masterly fried chips and excellently cooked fresh fish. Always served with a friendly smile. We return every time we’re near Portsmouth

I put my order in over the phone. It was ready in the time they said it would be and everything I asked for (salad no onions, gravy in pot on side etc) was not only done but written on the box.It so hard to find a take away or restaurant in a city like pompy that actually listens to an order. I'll definitely be coming back here, the customer service is 100% and the food is delicious.

Marvellous fish and chip shop. We've been calling in here on our way to the ferry for over a decade. Superb fish and chips, friendly, upbeat team behind the counter, the owner always remembers us. Highly recommend.

I've ordered chips from here over 3 times now, and each times they've been undercooked and soggy. Absolutely awful.The battered fish was massive and tasted ok, but you pay the price for the size.Personally it's poor value for money.

The best fish and chips shop in Portsmouth. The food quality is excellent, the portions are massive, and it’s very well priced. The staff are always very welcoming, visit most weeks.

The chips were good, and a decent portion for a size medium. However, I had a 1/4 cheese burger and it was awful. I normally love a burger, but this one was real naff. The taste wasn’t pleasant hence why I couldn’t finish it.

Food was great but girl with glasses was pure road "wait a minute' "yes hang on" "yes I'll do it" ive gone to this fish and chip shop for years never again.I asked for a milkshake rather than politely say no we have stopped doing them just got a very abrupt no.I will go to excell fish and chip shop in future !!!!! No need for rudeness
