Access ramp for mobility scooters and dog friendly. Traditional pub with a fine selection of Fullers ales, other drinks are available. Triple cooked chips were amazing. Function rooms available for groups. Will be using this facility in a few months for a family gathering.

Great pub located on gun wharf. We were staying at holiday Inn so got 20% off food bill. Ordered the roast beef and fish an chips. Very busy but found a table. Lots of kids in prams, dogs an family's in pub on Sunday so was very popular. Great to see dogs welcome!

Nice location, average food, exactly as described on the menu. Beer, good choice, at the bar but not on the app, very good selection of gins, nice seating, lots of room, very attentive staff.

I genuinely love this quirky place, everyone I have been it always feels like I am eating at home, such a cosy venue. Lovely staff, very attentive, the table was a little sticky and some of the drinks took a while to arrive, but overall the staff when altered to an issue dealt with it quickly. Lovely location down in the Wharf. Sun is out and nice and mellow. OK why a 3star review. No real guidance on what to do when you get to the door. Do you sit down order or head to the bar and shown a table. At the Min door there is a table as a arrival reception but no help. Staff a little unhelpful, however the food arrived fast. A plus. As for the state of the food, it was good. Would we return, yes we would.

Can only base this review on the Christmas meal I had. Not overly impressed especially for £30. The starter was ham hock. Essentially it was shredded ham with chutney. Was served in the shape and looks like it was straight out of a tin of premium cat food. The main of turkey consisted of 1 slice of turkey roll rather than sliced turkey. The pigs in blankets were undercooked and apart from the potatoes, was not overly generous. The grand finale was the rum baba dessert. A lovely soft rum soaked sponge coated in syrup with some cream was expected. What arrived on the other hand could be used to knock someone out if the need arised! The syrup was thin and almost non exsistant. The sponge was incredibly dry. Cannot fault the serving staff. They were prompt and courteous. I can only base my experience on the meal I had but it will be the only one I'll have from this establishment.

This a beautiful building set in modern surroundings, with it's ripped and damaged furniture it has its own charm but not totally sure it is intentional.The lighting is subtle and sets a calm ambient mood, but what is rather dazzling is the prices of the drinks. Noticeable higher than its local competitors, but the service is good and you don't wait long. Just wish they'd spend some of the profits on cleaning, as around the bar the smell of vomit is rather pungent each time I've visited.

Lovely traditional pub in Gunwharf Quays, we've been coming here for 18 years and we continue to love it. Lovely rooms, great menu, extensive beer and wine choices, it has a chilled cosy vibe. Great to watch the world go by, either from out front or inside.

This is a splendid place to stop for a bite to eat, or a drink. An historic building that played a major part in the history of the area; it has been very sensitively restored.There are lots of interesting facts, pictures, drawings that adorn the walls and these help to provide some continuity with its heritage.The seats and tables all offer a sense of comfort and charm, whilst still maintaining a sense of hygiene. It might be thought that the smaller rooms would make it feel a bit cramped, but I felt that it was more cosy, with a sense of privacy.They offer some very interesting local ales, as well as a few more modern drinks. The food is superb, with a pretty good range to choose from.It's just a few steps from the car park under the shopping area, and the walkway in front of the building also helps to provide a slightly older style ambiance in keeping with the overall affect.I noticed that they are sympathetic to dogs and young children.
