The Pizza House Restaurant in Portsmouth

Amazing food as always (though it's been far too many years since we visited), super friendly and helpful staff who also ensured a reassuring Covid-safe environment. Will return as soon as it reopens.

Ordered through uber eats. Arrived late and the food was disgusting. This was not pizza. It was bland slop thrown onto what can only be described as undercooked stale pitta bread! Best advice for the owners, take a trip to Circolo in Southsea... That's what pizza should be like (and no difference in price really). You're a disgrace!

I love the environment and friendliness of this restaurant. Value for money and they make you feel like you are in your family restaurant. Free drinks and offers as well. I absolutely recommend it. Of course pizzas are very good even though I am not a big pizza fan

The venue has moved a couple of doors down and is abit smaller and cosy. The food was beautiful, the service is always great. They have an all you can eat pizza and past deal for £9.50. The quality is Amazing for the price. I highly recommend.

Went there for my 40th birthday last week. The location has moved since they have reopened, the atmosphere has not changed at all. We were welcomed like old friends and waited on like royalty. The food is better than ever, the cocktails were simply stunning, 2 4 1 and tasted strong and true (not like the watered down versions many places try to get away with which are mostly ice). I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough, please don't be put off by appearances, it put us in mind of how a traditional little Italian gem would look, unassuming in the streets of Italy. Will support this place and be going back in the very near future.

Not the nicest italian I've had. Cocktails were not good, 2 of our party were sick after the starter and one had food poisoning from the chicken pasta. Pizza was greasy and carbonara looked like it had come out of the microwave. Shame

Used a Groupon deal and was delighted with the excellent tapas and cocktails. Very large portions and delicious flavours. Lovely welcoming staff and good music! Definitely recommend!!

Worst meal I've ever had. Calzone was burnt on the outside and cold in the inside. Pasta was tasteless with a sause resembling water. Ham and the salmon was cheep sandwich fillings. Don't get me started on the desert,the misses ordered triple chocolate Sunday we thought it would be safe and no one can mess that up.we we're sadly mistaken. It came out and she got vanilla ice cream with some chocolate sauce on with bits of brownies that nearly broke the plate she put them on. Won't be going back .. Can't believe some people have rated this place 5..

Last night we celebrated my Mum's 70th birthday at The Pizza House. Giuseppe, the owner, was the most spectacular host and the atmosphere and food was amazing. I could not recommend this place enough and would deffinately be going back soon. Well done for making this such a memorable night!

Ignore the negative comments here. All complete rubbish! This restaurant is lovely. It is family run and they are a lovely family. The wife and I go there once a month and always get great food and service. It is not over priced. In fact it is very reasonable and the food portions are more than enough.They have been in business for over 35 years. Considering the ups and downs this country has had over the years, this restaurant has kept going. I think that says it all!Highly recommended!
