The restaurant looks nice but the service is awful. We came and first we wait standing alone for few minutes. Then a woman came give us menu and let us seat where we want… We then wait 10 minutes for someone to come she then give us the proper drink menu, we then ask her just a minute to read and choose. 25 minutes later no one even after calling a waitress… Result we left !

My mum had arranged a surprise birthday gathering here for my friends and I for my 30th birthday. On arrival, we sat outside on the terrace, some of our drinks orders were taken and took 25 minutes to arrive. It was not busy inside or outside, so we didn't understand the delay. The atmosphere outside on the terrace was dull, no music etc.One of my friends decided to order at the bar instead, and heard an altercation with the bar staff saying they were going to walk out of their job. Not very professional for a lovely looking place. It started to rain so my friends and I came inside and sat at a table. Everything seemed like too much hassle for the staff, not accommodating for a large 14+ party.Food - was very average. Most of the people ordered dirty fries, these were chips with the smallest amount of cheese and bacon on them and they were cold.My mum had given them a cake to bring out further into the visit, it was bought out however a candle was knocked off but one of the staff and the cake was then ruined, and it wasn't even acknowledged. All in all I would never come back, the staff were rude and it was such a shame as we would have stayed alot longer if we felt more welcome.

5* Amazing experience with Kai for a hen do. It was a last minute re-arrange after our original plans were cancelled. He was fantastic - so friendly, patient (with our raucous group of hens) and fun. Our hen loved it, we loved it, and it was lovely to feel so valued. Dinner and drinks with dinner were a little delayed - we were 10 mins late but it was late much beyond that - but food was good and a great time had by all! Xx

I went to Eden with my friend for dinner on a week night and can highly recommend it. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were brilliant. I don’t remember the waitresses name but she was lovely. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Plus 2 cocktails for £12! The chocolate and coconut tart is a must try. Thank you for a lovely evening. We’ll be back.

The lady on Saturday 19th of March in Eden Portsmouth ! Our booking was mixed up for my birthday and the lady made every effort to make sure we had a good time and a table despite it being busy! She was extremely lovely and obviously could’ve turned us away but made it an amazing night even though it wasn’t her mistake ! She made sure we were all happy and the whole night was incredibleThanks again for an amazing night !

Service was good. Atmosphere was decent apart from the music being perhaps slightly too loud for a Sunday lunchtime. The staff were both friendly and attentive. Portions were a lot bigger than expected so don't order too much but the food was tasty and not to expensive. The pancetta pizza was lovely. The xl buffalo wings were good and the pigs in blankets were both plentiful and tasty enough.I can imagine it has nice views but the weather for us was terrible. For a bite to eat I could recommend it but if its ladies cocktails at lunch you're after, I would say this is defintiely the place..

Lovely food, lovely service. Went for brunch for my partners birthday, all food was cooked to perfection. Had the full english and pancakes, very well presented and didn't have to wait long as we were the only ones in there. Really nice place to eat and drink. Would definitely recommend. Our waitress Emily was also lovely .

Awful food - Don't have the Christmas dinner!!. I emailed the following message to Eden, but they didn't bother responding, sorely disappointed.'Good evening. My work colleagues and I had your three course Christmas dinner yesterday. This email is to outline how disappointed we were with the turkey Christmas roast. The roast potatoes were not homemade, but obviously from a frozen packet, the sprouts were chewy - obviously from a frozen packet, as were the carrots. The gravy tasted like granules too - not nice. For such an establishment that prides itself on being classy, that was a big surprise and highly disappointing. And for the price, we felt cheated. It really is not hard to make home made roast potatoes and peel some fresh veg. I do hope others won't fall in to your trap. On a positive note, your staff were very polite and accommodating and it's clearly not their fault.

I wish 0 starts was an option…I decided to go to Eden for my 21st birthday with my boyfriend. From the moment we walked in to the moment I had to ask my boyfriend if we could leave the service was awful.1st. As we walked in we had the menus handed to us and the waitress (who I could only describe was dressed as a manager of some sort) just walked off… no “chose wherever you like to sit” and no “I’ll show you to your table” so we were left only to help ourselves to a table in a very awkward and uncomfortable way.2nd. When we ordered our drink and food from the app (after them not having even half of their cocktails available) it took 20 minutes for two Pepsi Max to arrive. And a further 15 minutes for starters to arrive.3rd. We asked two members of staff for a jug of water and no one the entire time we were there bought it over.4th. After what seemed like years of us waiting for our main dishes to come it arrived and was a disappointment to say the least. And would you believe that we had to ask for cutlery, which took 5 minutes to come and by which time the food was lukewarm.5th. I ordered fish and chips and could hardly eat any of it. The batter was drenched in oil and every time I cut into my fish cooking oil oozed out and was drowning the fish on my plate in it. 🤢See pics belowWhen my boyfriend asked what I’d rate out of 10 I said I’d never come back and asked if we could leave.Over priced, poor quality and awful service.Would NOT recommend. Not worth it. Not even for a nice Instagram picture. So disappointed I chose to go there for my 21st birthday.

Didn't eat here but drinks were good. Really 'insta worthy' decor and a photo booth when you go in downstairs. Sat outside, nice seating area and view (Seats a bit stained and dirty but nothing major) Each drink came with a bit of foliage from grandma's garden which was quite cute, might try food next time but after reading other reviews I don't think I'll bother 😅 Stick to drinks ladies
