I was I there yesterday with my son and daughter I law. We ordered 2 sausage and bacon baps with one without butter and 2 slicess of toast . The baps came out both with butter so we sent it back and had to wait 20 mins for another one. We had to chase the toast which appeared 35 mins later and didn't look as if it had been in the toaster. Never again will we go in there. Very disappointing.

Great location, decent food, reasonable drink selection. Need to keep it a bit cleaner - keep on top of clearing and wiping down the tables and chairs and sweeping up food on the floor.

Fab location, away from the hustle and bustle of Gunwharf, excellent coffee and pastries and fantastic view.I gave it 4 stars because it's not the most relaxing of cafes. The high ceiling makes for lots of noise, there's only cafeteria type chairs and tables and the last two times I've been there it's been chilly.

We arrived whilst there was no queue. 4 members of staff were behind the counter chatting whilst I waited. I eventually vat ugh there attention and got served. 2 coffees and 2 cakes. The cakes despite the advert of really lovely cakes were made elsewhere (bought in) and plastic wrapped. We were given our coffees but no knife or a fork or plate or serviette for the cakes. What a mess on the tray.£10 !!They must try harder. Hey never mind I expect they are usually packed out with tourists

About three years ago we had a dreadful experience at the Waterfront. Today, we gave it another go and boy, did we make the right decision. It was simply superb. The food was fabulous. The staff are friendly and helpful. Value for money is an understatement. My wife had a tuna jacket potato. I had a toasted tuna and cheese melt sandwich. Both included a side salad that was to die for.It was clean and calm, eventhough the Quay was heaving with visitors and the restaurant itself almost full. All an indication of excellent management and organisation. A credit to all.We sat outside and had a wonderful setting to dine in. All in all, if we could give the experience 10 stars we would. What a complete difference from our last disastrous experience. Can't wait to return and the Waterfront is now our prime choice. Congratulations to all concerned.

Really nice cafe/restaurant with some lovely views across Portsmouth Harbour. The food and drink is always very nice and reasonably priced. Staff are always very helpful and friendly. Sadly on this visit the views from the table we sat at were obscured by a huge flashy yacht. Can get busy at peak times but worth loitering until a table comes free.
