Deep Blue in Reading

Fish was stunning, not so much the chips which were nice just not as good as others I've had but it was very, very expensive.

Occasionally visited here after the football on a Saturday over the past 20 years. Always seems fresh not had a bad one yet. I think it was a Harry ramsdens but it didn't change much

Had high hopes for this chippy as it smells great when walking past and when we went to order it was really busy with Deliveroo orders.However the battered cod, chips and mushy peas were all completely flavourless. It's quite expensive as well, but definitely not worth it.

Despite Deliveroo delivered an hour later than anticipated, the App did give me a constant update to when the new delivery time will be.I ordered the Meal Deal for one and an extra Jumbo Saveloy sausage. The batter from the fish was still very crispy but the chips were slightly cold! But it was easily fixed by warming it in the oven for 5 minutes or so. The curry sauce was very lumpy but tasted ok and was full of MSG.Having say all this, I would order again from Deep Blue as I did really enjoyed it for my work Christmas lunch very much today :)

Nice fish & chips but I have there twice and both times have ordered and bought home only to get home and see that they have not included all items ordered and paid for. Very unsatisfied.

Stood in the doorway for more than 5 minutes, with no customers in front of me. Staff behind the counter didn't acknowledge me & were trying to get orders out for delivery. 3 Staff members were far too busy doing delivery orders, for customers who actually were at the counter being ignored. Fast food it was not. So I left. Won't be going back.

Excellent fish and chips, very tasty! Delivered to hotel piping hot on time and very well packaged! Ordered a couple of times while at work. Second order was good too but let down as fish bites were very over cooked and burnt was hoping they would be consistent. But generally very favourable!

good tasty fish and chips at a fair price. pleasant speedy service and food well presented in tidy neat box rather than wrapped, so easy to eat when on the go. will certainly return for more, nice place.

One of the worst fried sausages and cod bites eaten phone line was muted as well very rude and unhelpful staff and the cook thinks he's doing ever one a favour. Very bad experience.

I opted for a delivery since I was unble to leave the house at the time, and paid £15.35, I only bought;Regular Cod £5.80Large Chips £2.90Onion Rings £1.20Steak & Kidney Pie £2.95I was charged 50p for a 'processing fee' (paid cash), and £2 delivery fee (5 mins drive down the road).The food wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be, and what's with charging £2.95 for a pie?! The portion of chips just seemed like a regular portion from any other chippy except their chips were not proper chip shop chips.I think their packaging is great but it's a bit over the top, even the pie had its own box. The chips came in a bag (see picture, front).Not sure I'll be buying from there again.
