Fox & Hounds in Reading

Has to be my new favourite pub in the Reading/Caversham area. Excellent cask and barrel beers which change regularly. Good food too and they have cleverly kept their covered outside area which is quite cosy with heaters. Dog friendly too.

great range of beers alrhough many wete not available but no food on a bank holiday weekend. OK so the food was supposedly going to be a bbq but then it didn't appear then it was delayed and then more and again...

Dropped in here a few times. One of the largest selections of beers and Ales in Caversham and Reading. Large outdoor space and friendly staff, also a perfect post ride Pizza!

Well kept pub in Caversham. Didn't eat but the food coming to others looks very nice. Good selection of beverages and nice few beers on rotation. Surprisingly large outside area, very nice

Great beer and cider selections, and outdoor seating area was great for our large party, heaters were a great added bonus once we figured out how to turn them on. Cheers

Come here regularly with mates from work. They have great alcohol on tap and their food is really good. Especially the wings. Staff are friendly and their is plenty of seating outside. Bit limited indoors. Only gripe with it is that it doesn't have sky sports so we go their for drinks and food then go to another pub for sport. If it did have sports it would be a 5 star pub to me.

Kevin and his team hosted our anniversary party at the weekend and everything was spot on. Wide drink selection, excellent party food, they even accommodated six dogs running about amongst the chaos. Will definitely be reverting to them for future events and would recommend to anyone looking for a laid back and fun event!

Really great pub! Well kept draught cider (and beer according to my friends) and a really great menu of "pub food": burgers, pizzas, wings, loaded fries. The bar was very busy but the staff really knew their stuff and were friendly and very efficient. Loads of covered seating outside, which was heated although I would recommend wearing a coat if you end up positioned outside of the range of the heaters. We will definitely be back.

Very good beers, stunning food ("the works" pizza is especially good) and very good service (shout-out to Sam who served us the food)The outdoor area is spacious and well heated, with a canopy for evenings and bad weather. Highly recommend!

Great selection of beers on rotation, always something new and interesting to try when I come in. No Guinness though, which is a shame for me. Good dartboard inside with electronic counter which is a touch, not sure if they have darts behind the bar. Pizza not the best, but I come here for the beers, not the food. Friendly bar staff, if a little hurried sometimes, understandable when it is busy. Very nice covered outside area at the back with plenty of space for everyone. Cheers guys!
