Hook and Tackle - Namaste Lounge in Reading

Got there sometime before close of kitchen, but the guys prepared a dinner in 7minutes.

Just had a beer outside whilst we where out walking. Cannot comment on the food. Their drinks prices are very good.

Went there for some chilli momos, very nice yet a little bit hot for me!Prices for drinks are reasonable, especially for the Reading area (at the time of writing this review, under £4 for a Stella), with a pool table if that's your thing - though as I found, good luck getting on it when the big group of regulars turn up.The barmaid was always friendly and helpful too.Update:Review updated upon my return as the one negative thing I observed has actually been changed. Its nice to see that the management actively read reviews/take notice of feedback.

The whole items from the menu are over priced, Chicken chilli doesn’t taste the same it suppose to be. Pork choila has nothing but a fat with no more than 8 pieces and is priced at £8.95. None of the food taste like an authentic Nepalese cuisine. Bad experience and won’t recommend to anyone.

Delicious! We are vegetarians and we actually called up to check the Momos were vegetarian as they had convincing soy protein in them! Everything was great, arrived fast and hot, and friendly staff.

Arrived ontime but the food is far from authentic. Dal mahkhni was a container of butter /ghee and tasted awful and Paneer Tikka Masala was just food colouring (almost radio active). We unfortunately binned it.

wish could give lesser star, Ordered chicken chowmein, and mixed platter, the platter was dried and no salt, chowmein was horrible and no salt again , please dont demean indian and neplese cuisine . horrible food and totally waste ofmoneyOrdred Chicken chowmein and mixed platter, the most pathetic food I ever had in Reading completely surprised about your rating on deliveroo, assuming a paid review, The food was bland dry and unedible, hate to waste food but this went directly in the bin, Totally waste of Money.

Never eaten Nepalese food before so just asked for a selection. Happy to explain the menu and help us pick - everything was really tasty. Would especially recommend the momos (dumplings) and mango lassi.

Absolutely amazing. Without a doubt one of the best places to eat in Reading. You really cannot go wrong with any of the selection but I highly recommend the chilli chicken as a must
