Nando's in Reading

Extremely friendly staff. Taste was amazing as always. Very clean restaurant although somehow i smelled chicken in the drinking glass, might need a bit of attention there. Staff was very friendly I would repeat. Definitely going to visit again

Well I would to start from the car park which is at the door of the place with lots of parking space .on the positive side the place is big and have top floor and a ground floor ..The food was delicious and the service was good plenty of staff on handThe place was somewhat clean but the floor was not.The biggest draw back is the waiting to get in we been told one hour wait but we been in after 50 minutes. It was cold and we had 5 children with us but still no joy.And another negative we could not book a table.So please get it sorted..

We were greeted quickly by a server and shown to a spacious, clean booth.A waitress explained how we could use their mobile ordering via their website. The time it took for the food to arrive was about right. Not too quick and not too long.We ordered a mix of different meals (meat and vegi options). Everyone enjoyed their meals.The bottomless drinks aren't great but I think every nandos waters down their fizzy drinks.I'd definitely visit this restaurant again when we're next in Reading.

Ample parking, delightful staff, clean and spacious restaurant, nothing to complain, a joy. Happy to drive 15 miles to visit this one. Many thanks.

We visited yesterday evening. Food was burnt and staff was very rude. Customer service is very poor so didn’t enjoy our time and felt like very stressful dining experience. In the end they gave us refund for our food and Manager apologise to us for our experience. So very disappointed 😐

Took our son to Nando’s yesterday for his birthday. Lovely venue at open gate. Worth the extra miles from Henley. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Checking on us through out our meal.. The food was lovely too. We will definitely be returning.

Halal, Ambience, Courteous, Fast, Organised, Delicious. I am in love with Reading Gate’s Nando’s. I would highly recommend going in and using the contactless ordering by scanning the barcode and ordering online. Very Ultra quick. Thanks to u guys (bottomless drinks wow)!! And decor is just very awesome.

service is as good as always they serve halal chicken at this nando's branch. great atmosphere have been here few times with family and will be going back soon.

My expectations are based on my experience a couple of years ago in the centre of Reading. My overall rating for the gateway restaurant was that it was not perfect. Remember it doesn't matter how good the food is if it is not to place an order you end up with frustrated and annoyed customers.Imagine the scenario where grandparents want to treat their grandchildren, so not a small gathering. Firstly we had issues just booking a table, online website was not fit for purpose, at the door we were asked to scan the quote, this did not work with the NHS covid app, we realised that it was the wrong one for the app. When we tried without the app, all we got was a picture of the code. For security reasons many of phone features have been deliberately been blocked to reduce the risk of being hacked, so this method was blocked to me. It is a poor show if nandos expects customers to be hackable. Finally managed to book using son's phone. The waiter(ess) briefly explained about how to order and then disappeared, again thwarted by the qr code on the table. Again we managed to place the order but paying was again embarrassing as this was done via some one else's phone this was an unsatisfactory state of affairs.Another grip was that we ordered bottomless drinks but there was no one to serve us, so basically we had very expensive drinks.On the plus side, the food arrived quickly and was tasty.Cannot recommend this outlet until they rethink the discriminatory system of booking and ordering .Remember in the catering industry customer service is critical.

A brand new outlet with wonderful decor and very contemporary interior. Alas the reception and food quality did not match the same standard.We had to check in on the App in the window from outside in the pouring rain. The app did not register and we went in the foyer to report. We were asked to march outside and to show it to the male staff. Wet and soaking, marched back in and he asked us to check in on the inside App. That did not work either. So had to give him our details for him to register manually.Once seated, ordered the meal that arrived in 22 minutes. The burger was tiny tough bread, wilted lettuce and cold. Very disappointing indeed but the chips were nice and tasty. The waitress and serving staffs were excellent- polite and effectual but the male staff at the door had his mask with nose exposed all the time!
