Papa John's Pizza in Reading

Sent to the wrong address, we were blamed for it, rudw staff, and underwhelming when finally delivered. Ordered the new Papadias and a pizza. We got the notification to say it had been delivered, but it had not. We waited a while in case it was an automated notification and my wife phoned up. We were told by the extremely rude staff member that someone had called up and changed the delivery address. We told them we never called and their response was that someone had called up, and then they had sent it to the new address. The manager then hung up on me when I was on the phone with him trying to figure out what had happened. After finally getting the order (delivered by the incorrect recipient mind you, thw shop had mixed up a load of orders and sent out order to someone else, so this family got two Papa Johns deliveries) the garlic source is awful and the papadias was awfully underwhelming. Not going back to Papa Johns again any time soon, especially after the rude manager at the Oxford Road Reading branch. Awful. If I could give 0* I would

This outlet is set up primerily as a collectiin or delivery stote, as it has only one small table has.The service is quick. And is situated on the outskirts of West avillage near Teco aextra on Portman Road

Always good, hot pizza! Their vegan offering has always been good, as well as their regular options. The delivery drivers are so nice and they always have great deals on their websites. Wouldn’t use any other pizza place.

ordered pizza XXL brought average pizza absolutely not with what they ordered! This is how they spend customers, I won't order any more there! paid as for a big -24 pounds and remained hungry

Ordered crispy cauliflower as a side was really looking forward to it. When it arrived it was cooked in a very soft batter and was not seasoned.

Always Good quality and the deals are great aswell. Delivery drivers are really smiley and positive. Orders come through quite quick. About a week ago when I ordered the driver went out of his way to go all the way up to my apartment and deliver it straight to my door.

I found the pizza at Papa John's to be average compared to all the other pizza outlets in Reading. The price is exorbitant for the quality (no doubt they have to offer 40% discount). Even with that discount it is not worth (at least for me). The garlic bread is completely value for money and their garlic dip is finger licking delicious. I had ordered takeaway from their website and it was delivered perfectly fresh and warm.

We were served the wrong pizza we did not order and the cashier instead of admitting that made a mistake, apologize and give us the pizza we ordered, made the whole case that we actually did order that pizza (I guess was trying to get rid of an old one that was not picked up!). My husband got so annoyed and did not want to argue with incompetent person, took the pizza and left. We will never again order here as in the end we did not like either of pizzas we got (even though one of them was actually the one we did order). Would prefer taste of Tesco pizza instead.

last two times i have ordered, they got both orders wrong. missing extra dips which were paid for both times. didnt offer refund and said will give next time. Last pizza was really poor, was soppose to be half and half but was more like a 3rd and two thirds coverage. large section of the pizza was just crust and no toppings. ordered tandoori bites and got given standard chicken bites, no phone call to say they ran out and give me a choice. Just told me same price. one of the chicken pieces were under cooked. the guys at this store really dont care about the quality of the food, and got poor approach to customer service. worst papa johns i have ever had! every other papa johns i have had have been always consistently good. will not be ordering from here again ever!!!
