Food is not that great. No Kerla restaurant in Reading apart from that nothing is good at there. Food is so cold some time re heating and no tasty food.

Very expensive for what is basically South Indian village food. £3.50 for paratha which is a basically of filo pastry. Obvious that frozen coconut is used everywhere and on previous visit found that all fish is frozen, chicken was standard caged chicken and lamb was not tender at all but rather grandma style tough and rubbery.

Brilliant food and fantastic deco.Been here with mates and the Parota, Malabar Travancore fish curry, lamb thalasari, Jira rice and chicken fried rice are fantastic.Nothing to complain and I strongly recommend this place!

Authentic Indian restaurant, our go to place in Reading. If you want to taste Kerala style food, yes this is the place to be.

High price with very less quantity : Food arrived on time via Deliveroo, but the quantity was really less. The box with chicken curry was filled less than half of its size with hardly 3 - 4 very small pieces and the price for that was really high. . The taste was also ok , not that good . Won't buy or recommend again .

We frequent takeaways from Pappadams. Taste is delicious, prices are worth it, service is quick. The quality has remained consistent over the past three years. Our first and only choice for a takeaway in Reading!! if you are really after authentic Indian rather than just a curry😊. They've recent revamped their website making it ready to order online.

Went to this little restaurant after a recommendation from someone. I ordered a traditional fish wrapped in banana leaf, chettinad dal, butter chicken, chicken tikka, bhindi, kerala porotta and nansThe fish was good, masala was tasty and it was well done, chicken tikka and bhindi were okay; everything else was below par in my opinion. Nans were too fluffy and nothing like it's supposed to be (crisp and not spongy), kerala porotta was stretchy and chewy and dal was not good at all.I dont think this place will be my first goto option for Indian food unfortunately.

Amazing food. We go here for fish and it tastes great. Fish in banana leaf is excellent and so is Goan curry and Travancore fish curry. Although the fish in banana leaf is sold as Pompret, it is not Indian pompret... little bit of disappointment there but the taste made up for it.We found the Kerala paratha bit oily but the tandoori roti was excellent... overall great food and will come again.

Tasty Southern Indian and Kerala cuisine, warm, cosy place. Busy specially in the evenings given its popularity. Sumptuous, decent portion sizes. Service was excellent but could be a bit faster. Reasonable prices. Credit cards accepted.
