Other than being a local landmark I cannot think of anything positive to say. It was a decent cocktail place 15 odd years ago but now I think they'd have issue with putting a gnt together. One to miss and fortunately being developed into flats.

The cocktails and the burgers were great. The only negative was the sweet potato fries I had were cold. The manager was helpful and took them off the bill.

Had a fantastic meal hear everything was cooked well and tasted delicious. But I was most impressed by the service. Was served by one of the managers I believe her name was Jenna. She could not of been more helpful and at attentive . Nothing was too much trouble and consistent service with a smile. I’m not normally one to rave about service as I believe it should be standard part of dining out experience/ but Jenna really did go above and beyond.. can’t wait to return

Only popped in for cake but what an absolute delight the staff are, especially one I suspect was a manager. For that alone 10/10. Fantastic customer service and the food was nice too.

I’m really not impressed with the management team. An autistic member of my family went to ask for help in working out the bill as he was confused,A female member of staff completely disregarded him and refused to help with his concerns. Her reasoning for this was he has a phone which has a calculator on it so he should be capable of doing it himself and then turned her back on him. It took a lot of encouragement to convince my family member to independently ask a staff member for help and this situation has just completely set him back. It’s very clear this tgi Friday’s isn’t autism friendly. The service was very slow, however the quality of the food was good.

We booked our daughters birthday party here for 11 people yesterday and told them it was an 8 year olds birthday. We arrived at 4.20 and were told we had the table for two hours only which was fine as we instructed parents to collect at 6. Not only did we have to chase the food at 5.20 as it still hadn’t arrived and we had small children who were now expected to eat, order dessert and then be out within the hour, we had to order the desert before the food even came. The result was the kids were uninterested in the main. We found at at the end half of one of the kids meals hadn’t even come out but the kid hadn’t told us. There was no birthday song, not even a balloon or acknowledgement of it being a birthday which is the exact reason my daughter chose the restaurant. Huge disappointment while being a huge cost

Completely disappointed.Went here with my wife and 2 kids last Friday as a treat as they finished school for Christmas. Booked up online a week beforehand. We were all really looking forward to it. We were greeted by a friendly gentlemen who sat us quickly and said “someone will be over to take your order soon - any problems, let me know”. After sat at the table for about 10 mins, I could feel a cold draft on my back and neck which was really uncomfortable. I looked for the gent who sat us but couldn’t find him. A waitress came over to take our order - I asked if we could sit somewhere else as I was cold from the front door. She said she would ask and left - never to be seen again! Another waitress came over to take our order - I explained that we’ve been sat here for now 25 mins and I was very cold by the door. She went away and came back after a few minutes and said that there were no more tables. I pointed out 4 x tables all cleaned and ready to go, “can’t we have one of those tables” I asked. The reply was “no, they’re reserved for other people but we will keep the door closed for you”. I politely complained further but they said there was nothing they could do. The door was closed for about 30 seconds and then was open again for the remainder of my meal. I ended up eating my meal, shivering with my coat on whilst staring at an empty table away from the door. Starter was okay, main meal is too expensive for what it is. I was too cold to have a dessert. My Son’s plate was dumped on the table without warning that the plate was very hot - so he burnt his fingers. The table wobbled at every move we made. It was toodark to clearly see anything - only the booths had lights above them. Spent £105 and we all left miserable wishing we had of gone elsewhere. I work in retail customer service myself and if I can make a customer happy by just doing something simple for them (like moving them), I’d do it in an instant, with an apology and probably give them something as a goodwill gesture (so they feel valued) I couldn’t believe what poor service we received. Is it too much to ask to be comfortable in a restaurant? I just wanted to move to an empty table 10 feet away. On reflection, even if the table wasn’t an issue, the rest of the whole experience (food, value, friendliness etc) were all below expectations.

I walked in today annoyed, hot and grumpy.I won't lie, I was short with the greeting staff and for that I can only apologise. However, they were very professional, and we were seated quickly. My server asked how I was and I told him we were hot and bothered and hadn't had a great day - long journeys and difficulty navigating the Reading one way systems. 🙄He added an extra cookie to my milkshake and was very kind and attentive. Before I left ( after tipping - because people that don't tip good service are terrible ) he brought over a piece of cake and said he hoped I would get to enjoy it on the way home and that my day would improve.I left almost tearful that my terrible start ended with such a nice experience.Thank you so much
