The Larder, Hilton Hotel, Reading in Reading

The meal was good, but the staff lacked experience, which is a concern with the "larger heads" who are being responsible for this hotel, do you even train your staff members??? They had no idea how to prepare coffee or any other drink. AND ALSO who the hell gave them this clothing in the first place?? I was hoping for something more enjoyable from Hilton Hotels...

We had one night in this hotel. Really great experience. Parking is free, and is underground. Staff was very good, and checked us in in no time. The room was nice, new and clean. TV, coffee, tea, usual facilities. Good shower. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfast ever. So much choice from cooked full English to continental, even cold meats. Loved it a lot. Will definitely stay again!

Very pleasant clean hotel. Nice rooms, clean swimming pool. Really good food for dinner and breakfast. Fabulous staff on reception, restaurant and bar. I'm disabled and they couldn't have been kinder

Wonderful experience, staff and food brilliant. Unfortunately, when I made my booking, breakfast was included. But on the first day of visit I had to pay. After further discussion this was immediately resolved. Rooms lovely and breakfast was fantastic, I felt like a kid in a candy store.

The place & the room is really clean, nice & the staff are friendly. However I was promised chocolates for valentine's weekend & did not get them. When I mentioned it on the text message service they have & reception no one attended. Don't promise customers something your not willing to provide.

My husband and I spent the night for my birthday. We had such a lovely time, the room was clean and nice. The staff was welcoming especially Jana her customer service was excellent. This is my second time here and I will be visiting again!Free parking and a great location.Thank you all again

Friendly and welcoming staff, reasonably priced, clean rooms, a large selection of items at the breakfast buffet. Not a lot more you could really ask for from a hotel. There are some local convenience stores within walking distance and quick links to London. I was very satisfied with my stay.

Nice and clean. The restaurant was closed for refurbishment but the temporary accommodation were not bad.Rooms are decent and good swimming pool. A bit unhappy that we had to boom slots for the swimming pool. Didn’t quiet expect that but given the Covid situation it’s understandable.

Positive:Very clean with great covid safety measures, Comfortable room, friendly staff, quiet stay and good location.Negative:Staff were not hugely informative or forthcoming with simple information and the Sauna/Pool are small and a bit dated.

Lovely hotel and very clean. Pool was also clean as were the changing rooms. Staff were all very friendly and the choice of food at breakfast was great and tasted great too. Very easy to get to and staff were very helpful. Dinner menu was quite limited but what we had was good and children eat free. Wine was really good too. Good location when visiting near by Lapland UK (just over 20 mins away). All in all a lovely stay.
