Ye Babam Ye in Reading

Feel bad giving this place a bad review but it was a truly shocking kebab!! Use to be the best place in Reading years ago but it’s absolutely dreadful now! Never known a kebab to be so brittle and sliced into tiny bits, no flavour and a rubber texture. Don’t know what went wrong with this place, Owners need a serious look into their kebab supplier as the reviews speak for themselves. If this place was run how it was 5 years ago it’ll still be one of the best, it’s now one of the worst. Owners feel free to contact me and I’ll give you an in-depth explanation of what I really think.

Had online.order when it was delivered I'd ask the delivery driver to bring food to first floor as I'm disabled he kept saying no you come to front door and the food was not best afereall that I won't be ordering from here again

After years of trying to get a delivery right, they still cannot manage it. The food took 1hr 30 mins to arrive, having been told online it would be 45 minutes, and when it did the manager was far from contrite..the food was of questionable quality - the Kofte in the special was hard, and the Donner was dry .. I am totally disillusioned with this place, and will be looking for another supplier with immediate effect.

Absolutely useless place, ordered a kebab at 2.30, nearly two hours later it still has not turned up, I did not plan to eat at 5am 🙃

Very poor service. Would give 0 if I could. We ordered for 5 people. Only 4 meals came. Chips were cold and soggy. When we rang the restaurant to correct the guy we spoke to was rude and unbothered and told us we would have to wait in line for delivery again even tho it was their mess up. We told them that wasn’t right so they change this to half an hour wait. 1 hour and half later & the food still has not turned up even though we have rang the restaurant 4 times to see where it is. Not happy at all.

Person at the counter does not use gloves. Will touch money and then touch your food, they mustve forgot were in a pandemic. Food tasty its a shame the hygiene is bad.

Waited two hours for food, instructions were followed incorrectly on both orders. Chips has been fried and left in the oil so it was old soggy and just OLD. It was horrible . Partner ordered large kebab IT WAS NOT A LARge . You find that when you order online for delivery they skimp out on meat

Cold cardboard chips, donor meat was dripping in cold grease, the salad was actually ok but the pita wasn't even opened, overpriced and not a good kebab at all! Terrible value and questionable quality! Not sure where all these 5* reviews have come from or if I've just been unlucky??At least the can of drink was cold! Ha

A friend recommended me this restaurant and I was very satisfied by their services. The fast-food was sold and now they have a whole new staff, organization, a total new re-branding. So, my advice is to not take in consideration the bad words and have a try and dedice by yourself. To sum all up and to be on the subject, the food tastes great, is very fresh and more than that the restaurant also makes great pizza. Here's a photo from last night.
