After deciding last minute to book for mother's day early dinner, I wasn't expecting much and I must say the food was amazing. Me and my had their homemade soup which tasted lovely and then I had a chicken roast very decent portion, my husband had the brisket I thinknit was and demolished it. My little boy had chicken nuggets and chips then chocolate ice cream after. The service was good, only thing I'd say is it felt like it took abit long for food to come out but its all homemade and honestly so worth the wait. I ha e been alot of places and this is the first time I've had chicken roast out and the chicken not be dry and actually really well cooked. We will definitely be back soon.

I've had a few meals out in the last few months and have 95% of the time been left feeling disappointed. Usually it's simply that the food is nothing worth shouting about, and so therefore, not really worth returning. Or it's the portion sizes, which are sometimes exaggerated. I'm not a large chap, but I'm paying for a service and like my food to be visible on my plate! Not the Joshua Tree! The service is fantastic, whilst the meals took a bit long, I appreciate they're made from scratch and it was definitely worth the wait. I ordered rump and chips accompanied with blue cheese sauce, whilst initially I thought the meal was a bit small, I was certainly satisfied once I'd completed the teleportation process. Steak was rare like I'd asked and was a great cut, chips were properly crispy like they should be, as well as the salad being nice, fresh and crispy. My girlfriend had a chicken meal off the main menu, WOWZERS, that was good! Value for money is good too and a pint of ale under £5.Is it worth shouting about? Yes, I certainly think so, and I will therefore happily return.

Had a lovely afternoon in a great pub with staff going above and beyond. You could almost think you were up north the hospitality was that good. Will be back again and again

Arrived for my best friend's engagement party on 10th July, maybe a pub restaurant but all I can say is wow the food was superb, every guest complimented the whole evening. Thankyou to Tracey and the team for looking after us and the amazing chef Kevin and his kitchen team.

This pub might look very classic British with its regulars in their familiar spots and an array of ales for all tastes, but the food is anything but. I was here at least 4, maybe 5 years ago now and it wasn't the best, but close family visit here a lot. They always have good things to say so we went for a landmark birthday. Despite the place looking a bit odd for covid-19 times, it's just the norm now and the staff still make you feel welcome. The food is extremely good quality, worthy of a place in London at least. It's fresh to order and make with a lot of care as they deal with a lot of fish which requires some finesse. I really give out for chefs, they're doing a fantastic job. The whole place is, as it was busy despite what is going on, but you're not going to give up on a place just because of that, are you? Stop by for just a glass of fresh pilsner or some smooth prosecco but I highly recommend you get some food; you won't be disappointed.

Truly exceptional lunch. Food beautifully cooked and presented. The service was efficient and friendly and the menu varied. Can recommend everything we ate - liver and crab delicious.

Lovely generous Sunday lunch with also imaginative specials on menu. Great desserts with candy apple and walnuts wrapped in tortilla a unique and delicious choice. Friendly waiting staff. Reasonable prices and you can take your dog and children for a walk in the common afterwards where a golf course used to be.
