Had a family party for 17 here in the Cellar Room with an overnight stay . Great food and service made it an extra special night of fun and laughter . Later we sat outside around the fire pit with Mark the landlord having a chat whilst he waited for his taxi. Would thoroughly recommend this venue for the warmth and hospitality which made it a night to remember.

Lovely quaint pub set in a stunning location. Unfortunately on this visit the food was definitely substandard. We ordered two chicken burgers that was so bland and could have lined a boot with it being so leathery, the cheese (well that’s what it was advertised as) must have been microwaved as you could have used it as a frisbee. The plus side was the fantastic waitress that served us being so friendly, just a shame about the food 🍔 ☹️

Attentive, and friendly staff, lovely home cooked food. The 2 young lads that were working last night,(ollie and the younger one, sorry didn't catch his name) were amazing, couldn't praise them enough, fantastic manners! All the restaurant staff, thank you for making our evening perfect. The food was also great. 👌 we will definitely be coming back.

Very nice, very busy Saturday lunchtime. Staff efficient and a varied menu. Had to wait for an hour before our mains arrived but very tasty.

Visited this pub for the first time today after living in the area for a year. What a lovely place.Wow what can we say.... From the minute we arrived ( had not booked) the young ladies were extremely welcoming.Very dig freindlyFood was outstanding at last a pub with excellent homemade traditional food. The steak and ale pie delicious!!Every member of staff we spoke to were extremely helpful, cheerful and polite service was excellent. The owner spoke to us and took the time to show us around the rooms. All we can say is what a lovely place you run with a fantastic team.Well done the Red Lion will definitely be returning and would not hesitate to recommend you.

Went for the Wine & dine over night stay. Very much enjoyed. The food is always amazing. Sitting by the fire balls is a good end to any evening. Very cosy atmosphere

Lovely, quaint little pub.Outside area is done brilliantly. We stopped in for a roast dinner at around 5:30pm on a Sunday.Meat and veg was great, but potatoes and Yorkshire pudding really were not, clearly been made earlier that day, and been kept warm until being served to us.The portion size was very generous, so still had a good meal without the carbs.

Lovely, rustic and quite quirky little pub. Good service with very friendly staff. Came for a Sunday roast, very nice meal, huge portions! Dog friendly

Daughter down for a visit, so popped out for an early dinner. Commend myself for a great choice, food and service were top notch and beautifully presented. My daughters Steak & Kidney pie was a heck of a wedge, about an inch thick and the gravy was gorgeous. We even had complimentary nachos with hummus as a starter, which were home made and huge! Thoroughly recommend, great value and excellent all round.

Had a family birthday party in the Cellar Room recently. The staff and manager were amazing and so helpful, they couldn't have done enough. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and quirky. The outside area is great. A wonderful find whilst just driving along as am quite new to the area and didn't know it was there!
