I always have a good time here. It is a friend's local but we always feel welcome and it's good value for money. I am yet to leave disappointed. Great friendly staff

We were impressed with the pub itself and the outdoor seating area. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We ordered the lunchtime deal of 2 courses for ÂŁ7.99. My coffee arrived and I had to send it back as it was not hot. Then my starter of nachos came. I was distinctly unimpressed with the huge soggy nachos and the use of tomato sauce rather than salsa. I thought the nachos were actually cut up flatbreads but the waiter assured me they were just a different kind of nacho. I had ordered fish and chips for my main but couldn't eat it. The chips were overcooked and dry and the fish was obviously pre-packed frozen battered fish. It was grey with hard lumps in it. The waiter was extremely apologetic but no recompense was offered. It was a shame the food was so bad, because I would have liked to have gone back there. My friend suggested that maybe the food from the ordinary menu may have been better, but I feel whatever you order should at least be edible, regardless of price.

I had Monica as my waitress and she was so polite and very welcoming. She had made my whole experience so good with this restaurant by her manners. I would definitely recommend here to eat and I will definitely be coming back. The food was also amazing.

Went for lunch with the family. Really looking forward to it as hadn’t been out for ages and was an early Mother’s Day treat. Ordered drinks, waited 25 mins for those and had to go ask. It was an hour from ordering food til we got our mains, things were missing, we were told they ran out but only when we asked. Rock hard chicken, needed a steak knife to cut! Steak sandwich couldn’t have been any smaller and had 8 chips with it. Whole meal was a disaster. Staff weren’t bothered or interested. I’d hate to see the beehive busy cause the level of service was appalling and they weren’t that busy at all! Dirty glasses, cutlery. Cleared our own plates. Sooooo disappointed. Clearly need more staff and to concentrate on pleasing the people that have made the effort to come to this establishment and support local!! 1/10

A wonderfully welcoming pub/restaurant, with a really good focus on customer satisfaction, and with a landlord/manager who has a staff who care.On top of those qualities, the meals which my wife and I enjoyed we're really good and reasonably priced. We'll definitely visit again !!

Been here for a church brunch a while back and stopped in for a quick bite with my lovely lady. She had the sea bass with roasted new potatoes, asparagus and a lovely lemon herb sauce and I had a lovely soup to warm me up with a lovely poured Guinness from the bartender lady who was brilliant. Lovely pub and lovely atmosphere!! Thanks for the wonderful service with a smile!!

This pub is the usual high standard of an Ember Inn, good selection of beer, extensive menu at reasonable prices, friendly staff. Great stop off for a meal on the way to Gatwick, just south of Reigate. Will visit again

Service was bad but food was nice. 3 of us went here for an evening. One of my friends got her food way before myself and my other friend so I asked at the bar twice before our food eventually came out. The service took so long that we weren't able to order dessert as the kitchen had shut.

Fresh salad in the burger that already is rotting away. The meet was dry and felt re-heated so did the bread. The bread was like rubber, this happens when you Microwave bread... Over all not worth the money. Had ordered before and everything was nice, but this time it was just discussing. Also the burger has one small piece of onion and thin half slice of tomato... Not worth the money.
