The Darlington Arms - Grouse and Claret Restaurant in Reigate and Banstead

We stayed here before catching a flight from Bristol airport. Rooms were comfortable , food is authentically delicious .Would go back just for the food and staff .Highly recommended.

Superb meal 👌 The Hot & Sour soup was delicious and definitely worth the wait. All the mains; the sirloin steak and the chicken curries were top class. Very generous portions, reasonably priced and pleasant staff.

Beautiful room,separate bathroom with toilet. But couldn't sleep because of noise from road and thin walls(could hear everything what's going on in neighbour room).And didn't like english breakfast for two,which cost us £20,wasn't tasty and i was missing on my plate tomatoes and mushrooms. Sorry,just not my taste.4 stars only because of constant noise from main road.

I went for dinner with my granddaughter last Saturday. I simply can’t understand how our experience was so different from the reviews. We waited an hour for our food. When it came everything except the chips was inedible (I had gamon and my granddaughter had the kids burger) The food was not as described and overdone. A handful of old dried rocket counted as salad on each of our plates . One staff member wAs friendly. The other was really rude. They only gave us a very small discount. I should have refused to pay but didn’t want a fuss with my five year old there. Most expensive and longest awaited chips ever!

Stopped by with our 3 year old on the way back from a day out. Lovely welcoming service. Ales very well kept, and the appetisers were amazing. Sad we had to get little one home to bed and will be returning for a full meal as soon as we can!

Stayed overnight before a flight. Rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were lovely and very accommodating about a slightly later check in.

Friendly staff, quick service and reasonably priced. Fish and chips had an interesting twist though - heavily seasoned with a bit of spice and looked more like Southern fried chicken instead of fish and chips.

We had a delicious meal in the restaurant, it was all brilliant quality and the chef clearly takes great pride in the preparation and presentation of the food . The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and were eager to make sure we had a pleasant experience. The area was kept very clean and tidy, and once again I'm sure that a lot of thought had gone into the layout of the restaurant area. I would certainly recommend to those we know nearby, and for anyone travelling to or from the airport it seems like the ideal place to rest and eat. We will definitely return!

Pleasantly surprised! Went out for the day to Cheddar Gorge, after trying to get into the pubs/restaurants there with no luck we decided to head on into Bristol. Was super excited to try a tapas bar I searched out online in Bristol, when we came across road signs for the Darlington Pub. We pulled in had a look at the menu and thought well let’s give it a try. Let me tell you boy, what a pleasant surprise! The atmosphere was welcoming and the food was exceptional. Definitely a must!!
