We love The Village Cafe. Always friendly and cheerful service no matter how busy they get. It does get busy especially on a sunny Sunday morning with a lot of cyclists and dog walkers. Good cafe foods and drinks.

I ordered a skinny flat white and was brought a latte, rather than remaking it they appear to have tipped the same coffee from a tall glass into a cup. Either that or they just don’t know how to make a flat white. It was really milky, not what I ordered at all. I also had poached eggs and smashed avocado on toast and was given a stingy amount of avocado, no seasoning or lemon. All ingredients seemed quite cheap, including the coffee. They weren’t particularly friendly either. Won’t be returning!

Food is ok, service adequate and price is high for what you get, in my opinion. Will not be rushing back as there are much better places who are better, far more friendlier and cheaper

Disappointing visit today. Stopped for coffee to go. Staff were miserable and coffee was poor. Shame as it is a nice village and not much other choice around.

Good food and drinks, excellent service by friendly and welcoming staff as usual.Great place to stop off during walks or bike rides.

The cakes were great, all soured by the length of time the drinks took to arrive to wash them down with. There was a huge difference in the temperature of the lattes, I usually drink them much hotter than the good lady drinks hers, I was the last to finish by a long way.

Had a lovely BLT bloomer sandwich here, decided to eat out as there is the Mere Pond, where thoughtfully someone spend a lot of time and money on his flower garden and this gave me something nice to look at.Food was tasty and staff helpful and polite.
