Vegetarians BEWARE!Veggies beware should you choose to eat at this establishment be aware of how they cook and deliver their food! They DO NOT CARE if you are a veggie and cook products in the same oil as fish! The order received had a lump of fish attached to it, on telling the waitress, her response.... I'll tell the chef! She never came back to our table. I called the restaurant thereafter to further explain the upset and the number rang out. I then emailed the pub, received a response over over 32 hours later asking for my number and that was that. Nothing more. Customer service is shocking, the fact that they do not cater correctly for those of us that have a specific lifestyle as a vegetarian is careless. One to avoid if I were you!!!

We had a lovely Sunday lunch at this pub. Having never been to the area after visiting Volksworld at Sandown Park (10 minute walk) We met up with friends who live nearby. There was great food with lots of Gluten Free options. I went for the roast which came without the Yorkshire Pudding. Unfortunately there were not many gluten free dessert options and would have loved to have a bit more choice (especially the brownie)Well worth a visit if you are in the area. Lovely food and a nice pub to visit on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

A beautiful atmosphere in a lovely pub. Not so much on offer in the way of vegetarian options. Food was average, not as good as it has been on previous occasions. Feel it needs a new menu now too, this one has been there for quite some time.

Not the best first experience here- staff a bit cold and unfriendly. My order of a veggie falafel burger came but it was a beef and bacon burger. Unfortunately the rest of my party had finished eating by the time the correct dish came. Only a half apology and ‘I didn’t take your order, someone else did’. No offer of a discount or complimentary drink/dessert which I would have expected. The food itself was good and despite all of the above, I would come back as it could have been a one off …

Venue: Offering a relaxed and welcoming pub setting with sofas and a fire place , adjoined by a stylish dedicated restaurant with tall ceilings. Good amount of parking , outdoor seating and nice toilets.Food: Classic gastro options ensuring there’s a dish for everyone without being overly ambitious or adventurous. Food is of a high standard that won’t disappoint , arguably a bit expensive but excellent cocktails that shouldn’t be overlooked.

Decent food but off from what it was a year or so ago. But that could have been down to what we ordered. The atmosphere and the service was very welcoming as ever. Worth persevering with.

My god the meals are big! Sunday lunch is to die for. Really nice. Only bad bit was the Yorkshire pudding which looked amazing and I'm sure it was when it was originally made and hot. Everything else was sublime. Crab cake is fantastic. Service is excellent. Highly recommended

I took my mother and two friends for Sunday lunch here and was a found out very disappointing 😔The Sunday lunch was what you get at any average pub and the vegetables were old and over cooked to death 😣The dessert was tasteless, basic and without imagination 😔A friend told me the the Fuller group bought this pub and is not the same as it used to be and I 100% agree with him.The service was good and the pub is done nicely inside.I personally would not come back and would not recommend 👎

Lovely chilled atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and provided great service. We had 3 children's meals for the kids. Great portion size. They ate it all and said it was yummy! We had sandwiches and chips. Very nice! This is our second visit and we will come back.

Busy Sunday and since we had not booked we were lucky to get a table outside at first. After getting our drinks and a bowl of water for our dog the very friendly waitress came back out and offered us a table inside since some guests had left early. Starters arrived very quickly and was delicious (salt & pepper squid and a Carrot and chickpeas salad)The mains were as good as the starters. Very tasteful and lovely display of the food. Also good size portions as we were hungry. All and all a 5 star experience in a cosy and friendly environment. Thumbs up also for the parking at the back.
