Dodgy whelks, 2 or 3 where ok the others I tried where tough and tasted poor. Took them back but he was not bothered, kept saying f all wrong with them ! Nice

Go to East Dean farmers market on most Wednesdays jellied ells and roasted salmon are delicious and lovely oysters

I bought squid here. Pretty fresh but a little sandy which was hard to wash off. The staffs are super duper lovely. Would buy again here

I love this plaice 🤭fresh and priced well. Worth the drive from London to here. The whelks are the best in Sussex. Bexhill residents are so lucky to have The Angry Whelk on their doorstep. The cod and haddock are the best I have tasted. No need to fuss around with fish when it tastes so perfect.

Wow what a shop.... The Oysters were fantastic, so much so, started with 6 beautifully presented by a young man, we went back for 8 more an hour later. Lovely young lady chatted and sorted our pawns out.Well done to those youngsters.And a fantastically fresh fish shop.

Good selection of fresh fish with knowledgeable owner/staff. We also really like the "fish Wellingtons". A bit pricy, but worth it.

Always buy my fish here as it is lovely and fresh. Great selection and helpful recommendations. Would definitely recommend.

Great selection of fresh product. Staff were happy to give suggestions/advice when overwhelmed by the selection available. The salmon fillets we got were amazing!
