Tea room located within a gallery with work for sale by local artists. Fantastic quality cakes baked locally are a treat. Lunch options were available pre-covid and so hopefully they'll return! Check opening times before a journey.

What a welcoming, wonderful, gem of a place. Super delicious scones and cakes with a changing menu because everything’s homemade. There’s also a gluten-free cake option and as a milk alternative there’s soy milk. To say the staff is super friendly is an absolute understatement. Can only recommend Avocet!

Excellent tea room, we have come on holiday to this area several times and always come by Rye Harbour and the Avocet Tea Rooms. A lovely venue, very pleasant to look at the varied art work, with good food and cakes. Staff couldn’t be more welcoming, very family friendly.

A beautiful little gem of a tea-room plus art gallery. The people who run it are artists and are responsible for many of the print and artworks on sale. They also sell really individual pottery pieces by local ceramic artists ... and well-behaved dogs are welcome!

Great place to stop off for tea and homemade cakes/scones after a long walk around the nature reserve. The scones are delicious. Friendly attentive staff.

Great artwork to browse, very good food and extremely good prices and excellent coffee. Even on a grey, wet day this place is really worth a visit. You can expect a warm welcome!

A nice art gallery and place for tea. We enjoyed the selection of cakes. However, don't expect a full meal.

Wonderful little cafe and gallery just half a block back from the front. Honestly came in for a cup of tea but ended up with a huge, delicious scone (all food made in-house and locally-sourced) and a gentle browse around the small but beautifully-curated little gallery. I will certainly be returning and an recommending to family and friends. Worth a visit in itself if you're in the area.
