Battle Kebabs / Cafe Restaurant in Rother

Just ordered from here for the second time. Waited 96 minutes for delivery. Said the driver would give me a discount but failed to let the driver know so had to pay full price. 3 small wraps with incorrect salads in and a small tepid portion of chips. Shall not be using again.

We've had many kebabs in our time, albeit drunken ones, from Surrey, Kent and East London. This was our first Sussex kebab joint and we had an excellent experience (sober). Service was friendly and efficient, the chicken doner's we ordered were the best we've had, with whole white and dark meat present and very fresh in flavour combined with the salad. The chips were also nice and crispy, would highly recommend!

Best fish and chips in Battle. Great that they are open on a Sunday too.

Really friendly staff, good batter and good chips. Only reason not 5* is because it wasn't fresh. But really good

We ordered from Battle kebabs on 25/03/2022 we were told it would be a long wait of a hour. The food still arrived 15 minutes late. The food was poor quality my children only ate half of their meals (chicken nuggets and chips) and later were complaining of stomach aches. The order was also missing 2 pots of garlic mayo and when we called the restaurant they said they would send us some more out within 15 minutes however it took 45 minutes. When the sauce arrived it was not garlic mayo it was burger sauce. We called back to complain again this time we spoke to the manager who was very rude and disrespectful. We asked for a refund for the pots of sauce they had charged us for and the cold food we could now not eat. He asked us if we could not just eat it without the sauce and told us to just reheat the food if he was to send the correct sauce out this time. We said it was ridiculous and unhygienic to reheat the food so we asked for a refund to which the manager agitatedly demanded the food back untouched. We agreed as we had not eaten the food we wished to be reimbursed for. This clearly annoyed the manager who reluctantly agreed to bring us a refund and collect the untouched food. Unfortunately no one came to give us our money back and it seems Battle Kebabs are content to rip us off the money we paid for items that never came let alone the ruined meal. Save your health and mental harmony by avoiding this terrible restaurant with terrible service at all costs.

If I could give this zero stars I would. I am absolutely appalled by this restaurant! Not only did it take over an hour for delivery, the website said it would be £23 but when it arrived it cost £37. The kebabs where so greasy and there was actually orange liquid at the bottom after finishing. I would not go back again, disappointed is an understatement.

Great fish and chips taken away on Sunday night. Nice to have a chippy open on a Sunday.

On holiday when we used this Fish and Chip shop. Wow, so glad we did as it's reputation is deserved. Probably the finest chips I have tasted in a very long time. Crispy, chunky yet soft on the inside with a lovely flavour. Added to that not greasy at all. The fishcake I had alongside them was equally tasty and of the highest quality. My other half had a kebab and sorry to sound like a broken record but yes it was equally tasty. I can highly recommend this kebab and chip shop.

Eaten here a couple of times when we come to Battle with the kids. Delicious kebabs, very generous, clean place and very reasonably priced. Had a chat with the owner while waiting, lovely guy who really cares about his business and takes pride in his work. Excellent kebab house.
