Great launch site for a paddle board. In busy times, there is a £5 launch fee

Back to our favourite Spring and Summer haunt. Alex and Simon have been busy sprucing the place up over winter, looking great.Hearty breakfast for 2 followed by a dog walk along the river bank and back for refreshments. Nice to see some friendly faces again.

Great and amazing menu. The mojo sauce was fantastic just like the real mojo sauce from the canaries. The burger and sweet potatoes were the best. Fab place will come back in June

Nice little place here. Staff were friendly. Some vegan friendly offerings though dessert was a bit limited in this regard. (I didn't notice the mains as it was only a quick stop off.) The coffee I had was 'excellent.'

Spectacularly good place. Campsite was very communal and we were friendly with other families. Yet at the same time spacious and private when we wanted it to be. There was a party atmosphere at night but the the campsite was very quiet after 10pm. Facilities were very clean and we had an electric pitch. We dined mostly at the Lime Wharf Cafe which had amazing food and I noticed there were a lot of options for vegans or vegetarians. Plus Simon has a good ear for music and he had the cafe and the picnic tables bopping with some good varied music again not until too late though. Will definitely be back!! We really feel like we have been on holiday.

Great fun boating on the river. Brief instruction given for rowing. Life vests provided. Canoes and Paddle boards available as well as row boats. End of Season oar collars worn so didn't stay in the rowlocks which made it frustrating. Lyme Cafe on site bit pricey. Parking available. Worth a visit for a bit of fun.

We camped here for 3 nights at the end of the summer holidays; 1 adult, 2 teens and a dog. When we arrived we passed the boat hire/launch which was full of families taking to the water. The reception is in a building that's part cafe/part shop and leads out on to a lovely garden with plenty of seating. With only 25 pitches I was not sure what to expect but we had no problem pitching our tent and parking within our allotted space, with plenty of space within the remainder of the field. The site is very family centric, there's a no noise rule after 10pm but as there were lots of young children when we started everything went quiet after 9pm - perfect. The restaurant onsite was open 8-8 and had a good range of hot food and cold drinks. The burgers were delicious. Toilets were kept clean but could get busy as were shared by the cafe/boat hire customers. The staff were helpful and provided us with all the info we needed to launch our paddle boards and hire a canoe. The frozen lime daiquiri🍹 was great before heading back to set up the camp fire.CONS: The showers were clean but the push button taps got annoying. There's also no fridge/freezer, so non-electric campers will need to bear this in mind. The staff here say "Perfect" a lot, and for good reason. Seeing the train pass several times a day was lovely, and all in all a very relaxing site. We'd definitely stay again (but will bring a decent coolbox).

Took a tandem kayak out with 6 year old daughter and had a great time. Staff really friendly and safety conscious as had called an hour beforehand to warn river too high due to downpour first thing, by the time we arrived water level was safe again. Really nice cafe and facilities too

Beautiful place, really very special, lovely relaxing attitude with appropriate soft music bubbling in the background, I arrived by Kayak and the staff and owner allowed me to put my boat on their bank for free. The food was mainly limited to burgers, however, they were more than adequate. The only slight issue I had was the price of things like camping, although I didn't stay, I would like to one day yet 35 pounds for a tiny tent and one person seems excessive. I would like to see a small section of the camp field left for small tents with affordable costings.

Wonderful restaurant, chilled vibe, brilliant boating. Service faultless. Campsite lots of big groups and live music allowed - so good for parties and celebrations as opposed to single families. Thanks for the reply - I think we were just unlucky with the group we were next to who were exceptionally loud, without a care for other campers. Had to leave a night early. We couldn't bear it!
