De La Warr Pavilion in Rother

A lovely art deco music venue built in 1935. One of the very best concert venues on the south coast with a very reasonably priced restaurant and bar.

Being somewhat of a true Art philistine, De L Warr doesn’t do much for me in that way. If you are into art, probably going to be your destination place. What it does have, is plenty of live bands and other entertainment throughout the year. Showing my age here, but saw Level 42 there, a few months back. This venue also has a great location. On the second floor, there is a Cafe, with doors to an outside balcony, that over looks the sea. On a sunny day, just sit there and watch the world go by….

Watched Alan Carr here on Friday 1st if April, very funny guy. He was really entertaining and engaged with the audience. Really made me laugh.Our seats were good, actually I think wherever you sit in the stalls here the seats would be fine. Not sure about the balcony seats.Staff were really nice, friendly and chatty.We had drinks before hand, £5.50 for a pint of bitter, but £7 for a TIN of wine, was too expensive. It was lukewarm at best which made it worse. DLWP really needs to do better at this. Disappointing.

Nice venue, we sat on the front row of the.balcony a bit further away than l thought, we saw Tony Hadley the sound was great, it has a large bar. My wife and I had a lovely evening.

So lucky to have such a iconic building in Bexhill.Enjoyable Sunday afternoon on the balcony relaxing there with good food /drink at fair price. Service very good , staff friendly and facilities very clean and tidy.Never dispointed when I go there.The seafront is a pleasure to walk along. Just a lovely prom.Nice to so many good shows there to.Well done , to all who look after the De La Warr pavilion.

Loved the place, one of the best venues for a small gig I've ever been to.

was closed when we were there, art exhibition was just packing up ... They had to make staff cuts due to covid crisis a member of staff told us its a legend of a place and a must see if in bexhill x

Just love this place. Sure it needs a lick of paint but it it just gorgeous. Hopefully more shows being allowed to happen will mean more money and more renovations. We will definitely be back to see more bands

We’ve been here several times since my in laws used to live nearby. Now my mother in law has passed and my father in law is in a wheelchair. It’s quite a building with a big lift to all floors. For the first time ever we three visited the cafe / restaurant hoping to have lunch. The website showed fish and chips etc so we expected that to be available but the menu on the blackboard was all too veggie and vegan - knit your own muesli tbh for an 85 yo in a wheelchair, no f & c so didn’t stay. We went up to the roof terrace for the first time too, the view is great.We had lunch across the road in Cafe Capri, the fish and chips are great.
