Fletchers House in Rother

When I visited Rye, it was rainy and cold. There were not so many tourists. This restaurant was open and seemed to welcome visitors. So we had lunch there. We had typical English meals such as bangers & mash, a jacket potato, soup... foods were delicious, but I think we ordered too much for 2 of us as my family didn't realize the size of the potato. Anyway, we had a good time and it become the one of our nice memories in UK which we still talk about and laugh. Thanks for the nice homemade meal!I love the picture of lady's room door. 😊

Lovely tea rooms in historic settings with a good variety of choices on the menu. The staff are friendly, efficient, welcoming and nothing seems to much trouble for them. We couldn't fault our lunches and I guess many other people can't either as it gets very busy with a good mix of tourists and locals. You will probably stroll past as you explore this wonderful part of the world. We recommend you pop in for a brew and maybe something to eat. Enjoy!

Gorgeous old building with plenty of history. Came here as I saw they had vegan options. Opted for a vegan cream tea and it was good. Scones a bit heavy for me but still tasty. Really tasty jam. Plenty of tea!

Been coming here for over 18yrs. Always pleasant service and good food.August 2020.Visited, for first time since lockdown was introduced, food was great and service, but the atmosphere was ruined by the mask wearing and asking of contact details "incase we get sick".

We managed to get a table near the door, but unfortunately it was far too crowded inside. Queueing system was a bit chaotic and was partly inside too, so made it even more crowded. Other cafes in town prevent people from entering before seats are available and have fewer tables, which is safer. Anyway, we left before ordering as we didn’t feel comfortable. Pity as is a great location.

I was so excited to find this little gem. I really struggle when I eat out as I'm gluten and dairy free. This lovely little place catered for these allergies and more. There where several options too. The waitress's where also wonderful and friendly. I can't wait to come back ♥

Spent a lovely lunch here. The staff were wonderful and really made us feel protected during what is still a quarantine and social distancing heavy time for us. Lovely food, lovely service and a very interesting, historic building

Really enjoyed our lunch here. Nice and friendly staff. Excellent sandwich with salmon and cream cheese, tea, coffee and crumpets. Will definitely come back.

Lovely little place, right beside St Mary's church. Staff were pleasant, attentive and polite. Service was good and quick. Would recommendFood was nice; a decent, varied menu. And plenty of yummy desserts, including treacle tart!The interior was very nice: comfortable and homely. They even have a rotary display for their puddings.If you're in Rye, check them out.

This was one of the best meals I've had here in the UK! Fresh and tasting. The stilton avo bake is amazing. The tomato and crab soup is a bit fishy but very fresh. Best beer around! And the cheese-chive scone....absolutely delicious!
