Beautiful meal in a lovely setting with friendly staff. We were a party of 6 and everyone throughly enjoyed their meals, from lamb, to baked cod, to squid, to mussels. Highly recommended. Also, opposite the pub is a little path that leads over the dunes to a stunning beach beyond. One of the loveliest meals in ages!

Very pleasant atmosphere. Lovely staff and great food. Will go again if I'm ever in the area.

Went with my fiancee and her son who booked it for mothers day. Great selection of real ales and wines . The menu was also very good catering for all tastes.Drinks were a pint of Cellar head for me, and for mother & son a bottle of Prosseco. We had 6 Oysters between us, followed by starters of Bang bang cauliflower, Mushroom bruschetta and spicy squid. The mains were Sussex pork, Sussex beef & Romney marsh lamb, all came with plenty of meat and a good selection of vegetables red cabbage, coloured carrots , parsnips. Roast potatoes. For dessert I went for the pannacota , my partners son had the cheeseboard. Reasonably priced for a quality meal. Good service. Situated across from the beach. It was that good we booked it for Easter. Dog friendly.Give it a try you wont be disappointed.

We didn't stay here, we had an evening meal on the recommendation of friends who had eaten here a couple of weeks earlier. The food was excellent, the service was spot-on despite being busy and the chowder was the best I've had since I was in Alaska ten years ago. I'll be back!

Had a lovely meal this evening at The Owl, Camber. Good food, perfectly cooked and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

Booked a table for 11. Waiter was extremely rude, dinner was rushed trying to get us out of the door even though plenty of empty tables. We would have stayed longer but could not wait to leave. Having read other reviews in regards to rudeness it’s clear they could do with brushing up on customer service training! Would definitely not recommend.

First impressions count. I had heard this place had good food and staff was friendly but we were not even allowed in as we had a 5 month baby with us. Bearing in mind its January they had absolutely no customers and it was lunchtime. Apparently its their policy...I mean we're in camber and I'm sure most their clientel are families but we could not come in with a sleeping baby just forspot of lunch. Pretty rubbish

We had a superb meal at The Owl of Friday 12th - best Bouillabaisse I have had in a long while with a consume which ensured the fish flavours were the focus. Not heavy. A great plate of Maldon Oysters also enjoyed. Burgers fab too. The staff were delightful. Thanks Madelaine , Hugh & the rest of the team for looking after us so well.

A lovely beachside pub with a nice ambiance and a good selection of food for all tastes. I had to send my steak back though as it was undercooked for my taste, even on its return it was little more than "blue" so I couldn't eat it which was a shame as it was a very nice cut.

Nice looking pub with some interesting specials like merguez and squid. Unfortunately, I didn't get to taste them. We were told that we weren't allowed in an almost empty pub with our sleeping baby as they have a ban on under 5s. This is a pub in Camber, not a 3 Michelin star restaurant in Mayfair. I understand that they don't want a pub that's overrun with kids on a hot summer's day but I can't imagine this ever happening on the continent where attitudes are more inclusive and less archaic. If you really don't want kids, serve high end food with prices to match. That'll scare off the families.
