Green's Bar and Restaurant in Rother

Fantastic food! Definitely recommend a lovely place to sit back and enjoy a meal, we were served by Tasha today she was lovely and polite made sure we had everything we needed! Great experience :)

First visit a few weeks ago, carvery was hot and well cooked. Went again about a week ago and the carvery was a little disappointing. The veg was a bit hard and warm. But on the whole very tasty. The staff were pleasant and came round to check all was well. Would try another visit to see what the food is like.

We visited May Bank holiday Monday. The staff were all helpful and friendly. Because it was busy the calvery section were waiting for broccoli and cauliflower cheese to cook, but the very helpful lady on the calvery brought some to our table when available, which I thought was excellent service - thank you!

Booked table for 30 people for my daughters 18th birthday, the staff esp Lauren were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was delivered all at the same time. Food was perfect and I couldn't have wished for a better level of service from the staff here. Excellent and will definitely recommend to others for future functions.

Very friendly and welcoming. The staff were very helpful and polite.The meal's were very good, and enjoyed by all.Good value for money.We will definitely be going back there again 🤠.

Clean and Comfortable venue, friendly staff and good food, a recipe for success.Een going since 1978 and never disappointed, Definitely go again.Nice to see tables cleaned with disinfectant after diners leave ready for next client.

Really sad to be writing this review.We visited on Monday as a party of 9 and the service was diabolical.Half of the party was served fairly fast and the other half had a big wait.Starters didn't come with mains as asked and parts of order were missing.When asked if there was a problem with the other half of order we were told a burger takes a long time to cook!!!I did speak to manager but problems still keep coming.Very sad as we have been customers for many years afraid to say it time to look for pastures new to eat.

We visited for a Sunday dinner sitting and the pub was very busy, the food was good and the carvery kept refreshed. The bar sadly let the pub down with 5 to 10 people queueing most of the time we were there. I'm sure the bar takings would be 20+% higher with sufficient efficient staff

Kids pizza was just Chicago Town microwave ones. 6 chips and £4/kid no week day offers either by looks. Play area good but £9 for 2 plus food ends up being v expensive. Kids left most of their food saying the pizza was rank! And they eat any type usually. Was disappointing. Chips were oven chips. Service was quick. No one asked if meals were OK though. Wasn't a busy night.

So after our first visit being a very bad experience we were offered to return to which we done today. Service was perfect. Only faults was no wings on the chicken burgers ( says you get one on menu ) and the kids burger had a bit of gristle which put him off eating it. If the wings had been put on I would have edged more towards the 5 but seeing as the first experience wasn’t great I’m giving the 4/5. Would return here again based on today’s visit. Thank you.
