Late lunch after day out with family, portions little on small side, but all freshly cooked and fish was lovely. Chips were little soggy for me but the others in party liked them

DISGUSTING, GREASY, SLOW, EXPENSIVE !!Worst fish and chips I have had the misfortune to eat.Greasy beyond belief.Unbelievably slow.Very expensive.Looked good with a queue of people outside, but that was because they have no competition.Waited for about 30 minutes just to order, then another 25 minutes to get the food. I wish I had driven further afield and gone to Hastings instead. The fish was dripping in fat, the chips were hard.My wife was ill after eating it and spent the night with stomach cramps. To add insult to illness, they charge way over the top for small portions.£3.50 for a 'large' chips......basically a few chips in a tray.£7.50 for a 'large' Haddock......any other chippy would have classed these as small, not even medium Haddock.£1.20 for a roll.....that's ridiculous.Save your time, money and health and go elsewhere.

Very poor. Chips tasted nasty, think the oil needed changing, soggy onion rings, overpriced and they hit the bin!! Pleasant service, but slow. Such a shame, this used to be the best place in town for fish and chips. We will not be going back any time soon.

Not the best chips to be honest, picture says it all. Small portions served in a polystyrene tray which isn't recycled, why not just serve them in a paper cone? Won't be coming here again.

Absolutely terrible -We ordered haddock as their was a sign on the wall saying orders of Haddock and Rock would be freshly cooked when ordered .When we opened the bag and bit into the fish both portions were very smelly ,The shop had closed rapidly when we returned so our food went in the bin ...We were assured that our car was safe parking in the Kettle o of fish parking bay during our ordering time and the owner even joked about how much we wanted to be fined , ...... Today we received a £100 parking fine for parking in his shops customer parking bay. This place really does not care about customers.

After seeing Marinos (Rye's other fish and chip shop closed) my dad and I ordered a few things including a large cheesy chips and what a sad disappointment it was. After seeing recent reviews online I wasn't excited but never the less opened up my cheesy chips. The cheese was stuck all over the paper and the chips were soggy, barely any crispness but the flavour and portion size was alright. With cheesy chips the server should either wrap them up less tightly or not use paper at all. Its a shame as my dads cod was actually quite tasty and crispy but I won't be returning again to Kettle o' Fish the next time I visit Rye even if they are the the only place open.

You have to wait ages to make the order and even longer to take it. Finally, the food is awful - both fish and chips and overpriced. Highly recommend to avoid!

This Greek themed fish and chips is in a convenient part of town and seems to be always open and busy. Make sure you add pickled egg and onion.

Fish and chips with resturant. Lots of room to sit, pleasant area to sit, very clean. Good menu. It is also a takeaway. Pleasant staff. Chips were nice so were the fish, nuggets, scampi and calamari . Kids menu around 5. Calamari 8.50. Waitress service. Also a bar. Also Greek specials. Fish and chips takeaway adjoining.
