Merriments Restaurant in Rother

Went to sample the food at the newly opened restaurant at Merriments Garden Centre and I have to say, I'm very impressed! Ok - I know I only ordered a sandwich but it was absolutely gorgeous. I had the turkey, cranberry and stuffing on crusty brown bread and it was superb. Recommended!

Is a shame to give such a low star. Venue was great but guy who served us made it very uncomfortable and unpleasant. We had drinks but also wanted takeaway sandwiches, he told us it was too difficult for chef as so busy. The place was not full by any means - what would've happened had we wanted up eat in, who knows or the place was full.

Lovely garden centre & restaurant.

This is such a lovely, comfortable restaurant. The food was fabulous (try anything with cheese in it) and there were couches and friendly staff in the middle of the greenery and flowers of the gardens. We were pretty sure the stars aligned to get us to Merriments Garden when we visited. We'd tried three other restaurants that were all closed on Tuesdays. We honestly haven't had any better food on our trip so far and everything was reasonably priced.

Always a warm welcome and delicious food

Disappointing garden centre compared to others - too small to have much choice, but very nice tea shop - don't often get table service at a garden centre, so that great!

Had a lovely lunch shame Newton & Frost outdoor buildings no longer there .
