Mowgli Indian Bistro and Bar in Rother

First time eating at Mowgli’s this evening, we fancied and Indian but wanted a little change!And that it was, staff all very friendly, pleasant professional service. Food tasted amazing, it’s not the cheapest, but you pay for what you get!And if you like peas, I’d recommend the special rice, there was enough for a family of 4 🤭🤷‍♀️All In all great meal out. 🏆✔️Even had after eights as a after dinner mint, the only after dinner mint that should be served 🔥

My grandson Took me out for Mother’s Day starters was good but when it came to dinner arriving it lwas another story. we started to serve it up and realised no Nan breads so I asked waiter for them, his reply was do you still want them as your about to start your meal I replied yes please. As my grandson went to take first mouthful we couldn’t believe what was in his dinner it was an empty packet of cigarette filters it was disgusting we called waiter immediately, the waiter said he will change for another one but by this time we all had been put of our food and said just pack the food to go.There attitude to us was very uncomfortable and rude as if we had planted it in the meal and stated nobody smokes in there kitchen and said to my grandson you smoke, I saw you outside smoking they were blaming us. I can’t put into words how disgusted I am with there attitude I wish I had taken a photo to show everyone that it had been soaked in the curry.I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We finally dined here last night for our wedding anniversary after years of walking passed whilst walking our Dogs within the area, and saying we should try it. What a great decision!! From the poppadoms and chutneys to main courses the food tasted fresh and so flavoursome……staff were super friendly and even meet the owner whilst he was dining with some friends/guests, (he told us he is looking at bringing a new Turkish restaurant to Eastbourne Harbour which we will try once open based on the quality here at Mowgli) Despite the 25 minute journey from home I think this has become our Indian restaurant of choice moving forward. Thanks guys and look forward to returning soon 😬

Phenomenal restaurant owned by a young, energetic owner. Unique and refreshing menu which really stands out from all the others on the coast. Would highly recommend a visit to this place.

Really delicious food that was ultimately worth the one hour wait from ordering to service. Our table for two had our order taken quickly and the staff were very nice and polite. The restaurant was not overly busy when we arrived but we did wait a really long time for the food to arrive. Nevertheless the food was so good they deserve the 5* rating. Another Google review mentioned the crispy potatoes and they were brilliant!

Excellent food, excellent service, lovely atmosphere, very friendly.. Can't rate this place highly enough. Best restaurant I've been to in a long while.

We enjoyed a superb meal on Saturday evening. Food was well cooked, presented with delightful tastes. The service was attentive and helpful. If you're in Bexhill, for an evening, pay a visit to enjoy a meal you're remember for all the right reasons.

5/5 stars and I can’t rate it highly enough. The food was absolutely delicious, excellent quality. All freshly cooked and each dish had its own distinctive taste. The chicken was melt in the mouth. Almost the best Indian I’ve ever eaten. Very professional service too.
