For me as a wedding photographer it is such a joy to capture a couples' big day at the amazing Pilgrims Rest. It is such a beautiful, romantic building and the team, Waverley, Amy Lou, Rachel are so kind, helpful and professional and they will make sure that your wedding day will go as smoothly as possible. You can just relax and enjoy the day. I would definitely recommend it to couples who are looking for a charming venue and a wonderful team to support them with everything! Zoltan

The Pilgrims Rest was the perfect wedding venue for us. The staff made the whole planning process stress free and we managed to find most of our suppliers from the venue recommendations. The staff were so attentive during the day and made sure everything ran smoothly. The venue is dog friendly too so our dog was able to be part of our big day. The Pilgrims Rest was the first place we went to see on our hunt for a wedding venue and we knew immediately that it was the one for us. Nowhere else compared after that. The whole team are amazing and had everything running so smoothly, we didn't have to worry about a thing. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and the fact that it comes essentially pre-decorated with lots of beautiful foliage and candles was an added bonus. We would highly recommend!

Intimate, magical and cosy...perfect for our October wedding!Amy-Lou is an absolute gem and was one of the main reasons we chose the venue...her knowledge and support was incredible (especially with a date change!). Waverley & Elle are also great!All our guests loved the vibe and we would 100% recommend!

We used The Pilgrim’s for my sister-in-law’s wedding in November. Overall it was really good, but we expected one or two things to run more smoothly at the end of the day e.g. announcing when & where teas/ coffees were being served after the Breakfast, announcing ‘last orders’ at the bar late in the evening. Just a few little things that could have been run more smoothly, but definitely recommended overall.

My husband and I had our wedding at The Pilgrims Rest in September and we have to say we had an absolutely brilliant day. Not only was The Pilgrims Rest the perfect setting for our small wedding, but Waverley and Amy-Lou helped us all the way along the process and ensured the day went smoothly. We got married at The Pilgrims Rest in May and cannot begin to tell you how completely wonderful they were through the whole planning process! The team supported us through every chance to covid guidance and ensured we had an amazing time on the day. The venue itself is beautiful and is set up perfectly for a relaxed and intimate day. If we could give them more than 5 stars, we would.

We had our wedding in December 2020 at The Pilgrims Rest, and it was just perfect! We had a 15 people micro-wedding, and we wouldn't have had it any other way. Amy-Lou was amazing, kept us informed with all the new covid guidelines and constantly suggested ideas on how best to make the day work! We feel very lucky to have found such a great venue. We held our wedding at Pilgrims Rest on May 18th 2019. The wedding day was perfect and was made even more special thanks to the venue. Pilgrims Rest is a wonderful wedding venue. It has history, character and charm. The DIY aspect really makes sure that the day is exactly as you imagine. The ability to supply your own alcohol without corkage is a huge benefit.Both Amy's were fantastic. From our first meetings we had absolute confidence that we were in safe hands. They responded to all questions promptly and met all of our ideas with enthusiasm and made planning a wedding easy. On the day they went above and beyond and made sure that everything ran like clockwork. The Pilgrims Rest has a great selection of approved suppliers, we especially recommend the Boxed Girls and DJ Dean!The Pilgrims Rest is a brilliant venue and very worthy of a 5 star rating! We couldn't have picked a better location for our wedding. We loved every moment.
