Had Sunday lunch here, bad choice. The manager criticises the staff infront of customers which made a very awkward atmosphere. The meat was okay but the veg was slavered in butter. Wouldn’t return.

£46 for a a child meal and 2 carverys one of the carverys being vegetarian and still charged for a chicken roast!! Absolutely disgusting prices the food is appalling we waited 45 mins for our food to be cooked kept asking waiter woman had glasses and blonde hair meduim size. Working this Sunday 03/07/22 I can’t get over how expensive it was and how shocking the food tasted. The waiter was rude not polite at all and looked like she didn’t even want to be in her job! I think you need to look at prices of the food especially food that tasted awful the only thing that was nice was the mash potatoe other than that really wished we walked out and never bothered. We only tried this restaurant as de rodes had no seating. Will not be returning to this restaurant!! AVOID!

Lovely place, staff are so welcoming. I had mushroom Stroganoff which, was nice, but lavked something. The staff asked for feedback to improve their dishes. Will go back.

Not a good experience sadly. Service was very very slow and was rather cold. Firstly lemonade ordered came out vile and had to be changed. (No collection of the original ‘fizzy water’ upon changing). The food came out (eventually) and was very underwhelming (steak cooked well done, when medium rare had been requested), limp salad with no Parmesan (as stated on menu) a very small portion of fries (lacking the truffle seasoning) and the whole plate lacked flavour. Nobody checked on how we were finding the food, or came to collect our plates . After complaining and requesting the bill, we received very little apology from the manager. They did knock off 50% however.

Friendly helpful staff and great food 👍

Served a warm glass of wine, they had just bottled up. The wine was replace with a one from a chilled bottle. Unfortunately the place was empty at 22:00 on a Saturday, a sign of these difficult times. At least the eatery was warm and cosy.

Food was home made, quick and good quality, staff were good helpful and friendly, will definitely go back

Overpriced cafe food.You didn't bring me what I had ordered.I ordered a Crown burger and you brought me a very plain bacon and cheese burger.The burger was tasteless, there was a single small slice of tomato, one tiny piece of lettuce, and the most minimal amount of cheese.I believe there was also some kind of sauce in there too...The buns were dry and clearly chosen to give the burger that 'look at me, I'm huge' look.The chips were dry and overcooked, in their silly little faux pail.Total waste of money.Wouldn't go there again.

Went for lunch today with my boys to celebrate my birthday. The waiting staff were lovely and very friendly. Unfortunately, we waited 50 minutes for our food to arrive. During that time, 3 other tables had complained about their meals. When it finally arrived, my sons meal was not what he had ordered and so he waited a further 15 minutes for his. We had nearly finished ours at this point. I ordered the chicken dinner at £13.00. I had a chicken breast, 2 sliced leeks, 2 green beans, 3 roast potatoes and a tiny amount of mash potato and a Yorkshire pudding. The gravy was watery and there was no stuffing, even though it stated that there was on the menu. I asked where it was and a tiny circle of ‘stuffing’ was brought to me in a bowl. My other son had sausage and mash, which he enjoyed, but at £9.95, I felt was very expensive . All in all, very disappointing and very expensive. I felt sorry for the waiting staff, who were clearly embarrassed and were so lovely and apologetic.
