Sahebs Indian Restaurant in Rother

Had a takeaway but collected,wish we had eaten in as the decor is beautiful,food was fabulous & good value,although smaller portions than we are used to closer to where we live.

We have passed this restaurant many times but was put off by its exterior . We then received a takeaway menu and thought it sounded better than it looked so we had a look on the website and was pleasantly surprised at its interior....we paid a visit this weekend and found it to be a lovely restaurant , great food. Vast menu. We were aware of lots of regulars collecting takeaways and hope to become a regular too.

Went at lunchtime so maybe not the best reflection of what it's possibly like at its best. Staff were really nice and service was impeccable. The place was smart and really clean. Food was good, but not anything special or that memorable.

Great food as usual, great service too. Looking forward to the taster session soon 😀

I can confidently say Sahebs is my favourite Indian restaurant. I always end up coming back here for the great food, and the menu seems to expand even more everytime I come back aswell.

Delicious food, attractively presented by attentive polite staff.Wide choice of dishes to choose from as well as an offer to produce favourites not found on menu, should mean that all diners are kept happy.The tables were laid with real linen, the background music was soft and the lighting was gentle all contributing to a warm nurturing ambiance conducive to eating and conversing.

The staff at this restaurant travel down daily from East London. Ultimately this restaurant is fine. But if u eat local I want it to be proper local. Not a glorified takeaway. There are other Indian restaurants locally ran by people who live locally. I will be eating there. Also. Why are the staff all petrified if the manager?????? Answers on a postcard.

Have been using Sahebs for several years, food standard was originally very high but I have noticed recently that the quality is dropping. The quantity of meat in the dishes is far less than pre Covid and the quality of the Mutton is very fatty. The Chicken has diminished to very small pieces now not even cubed. So disappointing for a regular customer. Also The pricing is generally 30% higher than anyone else in the area. I know Sahebs is the only Indian restaurant within 10 miles of Northiam but you will lose customers if you continue to charge more and give less. Sorry but you need to know. If I don't tell you it will never get better. On the upside staff and ambience is really good. parking is great too.

First time in Rye with the family. Came for a weekend and read the reviews so saved it as a place to eat. We went Friday night and it was one of the best services if not the best in a restaurant in Rye thus far!The food was top quality. We had the lamb biryani and lamb curry.The service on the floor was just the way you want it, friendly and helpful.I dont often gave a 5 star but feel they have ticked all the boxes for us!

Holidaying in the area, had a most enjoyable meal here tonight.5 stars I reserve for the Wow factor.An enthusiastic welcome, shown to comfortable seats and table.The food and service were excellent.If we lived locally this would be a regular choice.
