Simon the Pieman in Rother

Charming and delicious. We're down in Rye for a few days and we have gone back to this place every day as the food is tasty. They have a great gluten free range too. Our family, with a child in a pram and a pooch, had a lovely time.

There were no customer when we went in a you could immediately see why, the young lady who was behind the counter made no effort to descise the fact she wanted an early finish even though it was only two o clock. The food was nicely presented and priced ok and tasted fine. So food 8 out of 10 attitude 1 out of 10

Love this cafe, reasonable prices and lovely food. Staff very attentive. Recommend the cornish pasty!

What I like is the fireplace that keeps you warm the weather we're having. Also, the tearoom feel very much like another I sometimes visit bear my home.

It's a very cute tea and pastry shop just close to the church and on a chilly but brisk winter day after walking around, its a good place to hunker down by the roaring fire and have some tea and crumpets.The ladies who served us were lovely and it was just a good homey experience.

Located right at the entrance of St Mary Church. Good selection of cakes. Had ordered brownie but its was below average and the price for it was high. The ambience was good and staff was really helpful

Lovely little place to stop for bite or drink. Friendly staff. Dog friendly. Drinks were slightly on the small size and not cheap. Prices generally above average, for an example a sandwich was £6, but quality and taste was right up there. Obviously designed for the tourist, especially being right next to the town hall and church. Parking is a massive issue, but that is generally the same for most places in Rye. An enjoyable visit.

Yum, Homemade cakes and sandwiches. I had decaf tea. My sister had a vanilla milkshake.

Very English stablishment taking me back many years in terms of food options. They offer Coronation chicken - an option I haven't seen for a very long time anywhere. Their cream tea is OK but perhaps disappointing in the sense that most of the items offered I can get from anywhere (Sainsbury's, Tesco, etc.) It would have been better if before serving the scones, the cream and jam would have been taken out of the plastic pots to make it more homely. Yes small scones are home made. If I come to Rye again probably would be looking elsewhere to eat. Staff are good in particular the young girl that was very efficient, polite and put a lot of effort running the front of the house.
