This was an unfortunate visit for us and the 2 stars reflects the quality of food and the environment which were both lovely.Alas, the attitude of one staff member was arrogant and less than helpful. When asked if the noise level of unloading the dishwasher could be kept down a little, we were told nothing could be done about it.Whilst appreciating work has to be done in a cafe a little acknowledgement and an offer of being reseated in another part would've been welcomed but instead we were made to feel like we were being unreasonable. A very unhappy experience for all unfortunately.

Partner had the best cream tea that he had to go back again the next day. Gorgeous decor. Amazing book collection. Only one vegan sweet option when I went in (date loaf) but it was divine that I bought it to take away the following day.

Just coffee and gluten free 🍰 (orange and sultana) - very moist and tasty!Lovely ambience and history, with lots of old apothecary drawers and containers, very interesting to look at!

·

Lovely staff and an expansive cafe. Comfy, cosy, and the food complements the atmosphere very well. Perfect place to put your feet up after a few hours of shopping/sightseeing - the rarebit is recommended.

One of my favourite places to go!! I love everything about that place! The service is amazing and the food is so nice! They have a wide range of teas and it’s a wonderful atmosphere

Well priced, friendly staff, good cream teas (served warm as it should be). Would recommend. A staff member even went the extra mile to return a child's coat to someone who had just left.

Great place to have a quick bite. I went there once for breakfast and once for a light lunch. The place and decor is great, they stayed true to the origin of the building.Staff was helpful and friendly.I enjoyed my food and drinks. Would recommend

Great place to eat and drink good coffee, the apothecary coffee house is in the heart of historic town of Rye and boasts a cozy warm feel with seating and service to match. This is a must when you visit Rye…hope you enjoy the pictures 😎x
