Staff friendly, quite busy for a Thursday in the bar. Went for an end of holiday meal. Starter disappointing, no salmon pate, baked camembert turned into breaded camembert, which turned into breaded brie. Arrived cold and looked like what we could buy in lidl but £9 a portion. We had the steak and ale pie which was lovely, but mash so so and vegetables unfortunately cold. Don't like to leave negative reviews but sorry to say really wouldn't go again. Sorry 😞

Nice friendly feeling pub. Popped in for lunch. Delicious beef and mustard sandwich. Will definitely visit again

A great pub with tasty beers and wines up front, and a large dining room out back. Food sounded very appetising, and wasn't that bad but could have been better. Pub was very busy that night, so perhaps the chef was a little overworked. Staff were super friendly and overall we had a great time. Will be back for sure.

Lovely pub, great staff and cosy atmosphere. Often have live music. Good selection of beers and gin too

Went in on Friday night after our 1st 2 choices were full. Should have just come here first. Great staff, very friendly and attentive, amazing selection of very good beers and gin, I had the House Party Session IPA which is one of the best beers I've had in a long time, and the GF had a gin the particulars of which I cannot recall but it was above average. Food-wise the menu is a little limited as pulled pork/ beef or burger in a bun oriented but very fine food indeed. My Project Sussex burger was excellent, the salad was substantial, fresh and not just a few leaves of garnish. The chips were crisp and well cooked. My partner had a mushroom "burger" which she really enjoyed. Too full for desert, maybe next time because we shall certainly return. A great find, recommended.

Had a nice family lunch there. Young lady behind the bar was very helpful moving the tables around and quick to take our order. Food all came out at same time and was nice. Menu is a bit limited but it's OK.

We arrived without a booking on a Saturday for a drink, they had an event on and still managed to squeeze us in! The service was amazing, the staff were lovley and when my sister, a paramedic who’d just finished a 12 hour shift arrived tired and hungry after the kitchen had closed the staff went above and beyond to accommodate and the chef stayed late to make her a burger which was honestly delicious! Such a lovley place and the staff are an absolute dream! Highly, highly recommended!

Fantastic afternoon celebrating our son's 18th birthday today. The staff were super attentive; nothing was too much trouble. The food was fabulous and so plentiful. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Thanks Gav and the team.
