The Castle Inn in Rother

Popped in for a spot of lunch before going for a walk around the castle.We sat outside & there was table service provided.Lots of yummy vegan options - starters, mains , sides & desserts!I had a starter as main as my main - soft flour tacos with avocado, salsa & bean chili filling.Also shared some crispy fries.Food was fairly priced & really tasty.Definitely recommend & will be coming again to try more of the vegan options.We had a friendly waitress & the environment was peaceful with lots of greenery & bird song.

Lovely burger and chips in the garden yesterday evening watching hot air balloons take off nearby.

Fantastic pub just across from Bodiam Castle. We shared a baked Camembert to start- great portion with plenty of crudités for dipping- and then tried the burgers (one beef, one vegan), which were both lovely. Lovely cosy interior and a great selection of beers on tap- popping over for a bite is a great way to break up a trip to the castle.

A little jaded and in need of a make-over. Staff were friendly and efficient, however, and the beer was good. We only had a drink on this occasion but, when we have visited before, the food has been good.

Super nice and cosy pub, lots of diferent options and really good food. Children portions are really generous. Staff nice and helpful.

Food is fantastic and we didn't have to wait very long for it to arrive. I ate home made beef burger and it was very good. My friend had vegan pie and my friend was so chuffed with the vegan options and all was cooked to a high standard.

Visited at lunchtime today when in the area. Service was excellent. One lady front of house had everything under control and was very warm and welcoming. Although we only stopped for a light lunch and coffee, our food was very tasty and well presented. It's a shame we aren't local as would love to go back.

Had a really nice Sunday roast here after a walk around the castle across the road. Service was attentive and polite, the portions generous and pub grub hearty. Space felt very cosy with navy decor and a fire burning.

Lovely food, great beer garden deffinetly worth a visit for a quick drink and meal

We had a delicious lunch the other day in the lovely garden at the Castle Inn. The service was great, the food was really tasty. I had the Kofta salad, my husband had the Teriyaki Salmon, both excellent. He then enjoyed a sticky toffee pudding, whilst I had a delicious jelly with ice cream. Would definitely recommend popping in here. We will be back given half a chance.
