Sister currently at the priory and we drove up to visit her and we took her out for lunch, found this lovely place! Very nice welcome from Kim , and the lovely dog ,Coco. Had we have known it was dog friendly, ours would have come too.We had scampi , and X2 halloumi burgers and all really very tasty and enjoyed. I'm sure we'll be back given the circumstances, but highly recommend to others. Thank you for the kind and welcoming hospitality.

Me and my partner have eaten here a few times as well as had take out all of which have been enjoyable. The Hospitality is friendly and helpful and cant fault this however our experience this time around was that we were served a meal that my partners chicken definitely should not have been used. His chicken burger had a nasty smell and if you was cooking you most definitely would have smelt this!We had a electricity outage all day before due to winds so think maybe this could have been the cause ?We should have said something at the time but we left it. As dont like to complain Unfortunately when we got home both of us have been poorly .I dont normally like to leave negative reviews but think should make sure before serving food is edible and this unfortunately has put us off of eating here again.

Love to leave a good review but we had chicken burgers and mine tasted funny, then smelt it and didn't smell right,by that time I had eaten over half ,I shod have mentioned there and then but didn't,that night had bad cramps, stomach upset and nauseous, we had no electric in ticehurst and think maybe fridges had gone down ,I've eaten here before and been fine but meats should be checked before being sold to public as meal for 3 cost 60 pounds ,my partner was poorly too as she thinks all the fillers would have been cooked together

Enjoyed a small family pre-Christmas lunch here today. Received a nice friendly welcome, friendly staff. Decent atmosphere and good service. Tasty food, three members of our party had the steak and ale pie and it was good with a generous filling.

Food was nice but my main (pizza) took ages. Drinks were good and chip. Is just such a nice local pub.

Lovely country pub, friendly welcome from all staff and the owners. Food was delicious! Children’s play area, lots of outdoor seating with wonderful views. Landlord gave us blankets once the sun started to set as we were sat outside, nothing was too much trouble - will definitely be returning :)
