Had a really nice meal there. Nice choice of beers and great menu. Service was very good and food fabulous. It's lovely to see a pub doing well as so many of them have shut down in recent years. I will certainly return to the George.

Brilliant friendly pub. Good food and selection of beers

A fantastic atmosphere and welcoming staff who loved our dog. The food was amazing, defiantly would recommend the 'Veggie Bad Boy Burger'.

While exploring on the Triumph yesterday I came across Robertsbridge - a gem of a village just off the A21. I needed lunch and hoped to find a pub that would meet my expectations for such a place.I was not disappointed. The George Inn is a beautiful, we'll appointed pub and hotel which serves amazing food and is run by very friendly staff. I had a homemade pie, chips and veg with proper Gravy and it was one of the best pies I've ever eaten. Absolutely delicious with really well cooked and varied veg.I think all my bike runs will now feature this place as I hope to explore their menu as much as the local area!I can't recommend it highly enough.

An absolutely wonderful pub, run by an absolute gem (Jane), with excellent food and a great beer selection (a winter’s pale was superb!)Jane accommodated a large group for my birthday and everyone loved it!We’ll be back!

Wow what a great place. Walked through the door and I could tell it was going to be a nice experience. So first of all, the staff were great. Very friendly helpful and they all had a smile.I had a cappuccino while waiting for the food. Cappuccino was perfect, I believe they use rye bay coffee. Then the mouth watering food arrived. There was plenty of it too ( gravy was amazing). We had cappuccino cheesecake which was also very tasty. The presentation of everything ( even the spoons ) was the best I've seen any where. The lay out inside is very roomy and warm. Due to covid they have moved the tables which is great for customers but obviously not so great for the owners. But in my opinion it gives a more comfortable atmosphere when eating. It is also spotless. Unlike most places we visit, the staff were on the ball .There are steps into the front of the building. I didn't ask but from what I can see there are no steps into the back so probably ok for wheel chairs. All in all a great cosey place that I'm definitely going in again. Before I go and rest my belly. I did take a photo of my dinner BEFORE I added the veg. My plate was very full.

My friend and I dined here on Friday 24th September. Whilst the welcome and service was good, I am sorry to say we were both incredibly disappointed with every aspect of our meal. The steak which was highly recommended was brutally over cooked from the medium rare requested. It was also very small for the price charged! The pork belly was also overcooked and rather dry. The roasted vegetables was basically undercooked onion. The crumble we had for desert was probably the worst I have ever had and simply not restaurant quality. This was a great shame as we had heard good reviews and decided to treat ourselves as we don't have the opportunity to eat out very often. We initially decided not to put a negative review on social media as we thought it fairer to let them know directly our views. As this was not even acknowledged we thought it appropriate to share our experience more widely. It may just be that we caught the kitchen on a bad night but sadly we will not be recommending you to family and friends.

Great pub in a lovely village. Booked for Sunday lunch. Roast beef was cooked to perfection. Allergies were handled with ease by the chef. Service was friendly and efficient and dogs are welcome. We will return.

Good beer and outstanding food. Staff very friendly and professional. This is a great little pub but I can assure you this is not pub food the food served here would not look out of place in a four star restaurant.
