A friendly team, providing an excellent service. Special thanks to the young lady on reception who was ever cheerful and helpful and also to the lovely gentleman behind the hotel bar. Really enjoyed our stay in Rye.

·

Lovely comfortable hotel with friendly owners and staff. The breakfasts have good quality ingredients and are nicely cooked.

·

Friendly staff in convenient hotel at the top of the town. Large breakfast. The restaurant and tea parlour are closed, but the bar is open in the evenings. No parking..there are cheap car parks about 10 minutes away. You can drive up to the hotel to unload.

Lots of character, friendly welcome, good breakfast. Hotel room had low/sloping ceilings which was a bit awkward because I’m quite tall!

Great location, nice clean rooms and great service! The staff were great very friendly and helpful made the hotel a great experience. Fantastic breakfast too - best hotel breakfast I've had in a long time. The only down side was no parking outside. Will definitely book again when working down this way next time.

A beautiful, old hotel with wonderful views. We booked 2 of the suites and couldn't have been more happy. The hotel staff are amazing. Very helpful at checking in with helpful hints and tips of Rye, including parking and local restaurants. We ate breakfast, which was freshly cooked to order - delicious. The bar area is very cosy and again the staff were very helpful, with a great choice of drinks. We had a wonderful weekend and will defintely be returning as soon as we can.

We had an enjoyable short break at The Hope Anchor. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great, only disappointment was that the restaurant is closed in the evening but this gave us the opportunity to visit excellent restaurants in Rye

Lovely old hotel. We stayed in the Crowsnest. Views over the river. The shower was brilliant. Bed was comfortable. Breakfasts were very nice. Plenty of it, to keep you going all day. The Staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly. Only downside, was no parking during the day, outside the hotel, due to Council restrictions. But, you can park 24 hours for £2, in the market car park. Next to the train station. Had a lovely break.

Very comfortable large hotel room. Breakfast excellent. Staff very friendly. We took our dog, but they said they keep dedicated dog-free rooms (good to know, in case you have any allergies). If you take yours, they will also be treated as a guest - you can have breakfast served in the comfortable lounge (opposed to the restaurant) and bring them with you!Dogs are also allowed in the bar, but sun was out whilst we stayed, so we sat outside and enjoyed the view from the top of the town of the beautiful landscape beyond.

Saw a board outside advertising the bar being open. Wanted to get a drink and a bag of crisps with my family and sit outside on one of the empty tables. Barman said residents only!! In light of recent times ie being closed for over a year how can they turn away easy custom? Found another friendly pub and enjoyed a pint. Wasn't too difficult a process. I gave them money and they gave me beer. Both parties were happy.
