Pleasant outlying cottage room in a quiet location, lots of space, great big comfy bed. Hearty breakfast and friendly service. Dinner only standard pub fare really. A very short drive into Rye.

Staff, accommodation and food were all amazing. Inside the Inn is beautiful, lovely roaring open fire, really homely and inviting. As you walk in definatly a WOW. A really warm friendly welcome fromstaff. Throughout our stay all staff were friendly and helpful. Quality of food was exceptional, from breakfast to evening meals. Lovely room, comfortable, clean and very spacious. Had a great relaxing two day stay.

A fantastic place, stayed here during the storm and it was lovely. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The food was 5* too! The best pork belly I have ever tasted - highly recommended

We stopped in by chance for lunch as we were passing on the way to Rye. So glad we did! Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Lovely food, drinks and good service. Would love to visit again.

Excellent food - mine was a rib eye I cooked on a stone at the table. Lovely if you like rare meat. Restaurant supports Rye Bay Clam week so both starters and mains available. No bother to change menu items if you don't like something

Situated about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Rye, found this pub hotel to be a little bit worn around the edges with dim lighting and budget feel. Our room overlooked a busy road, which was not mentioned when we booked, and because of that wasn’t very peaceful. The bathroom was clean but, again, tired and old. Our cold tap was so loose we decided not to use it in case it broke.Breakfast was budget as well. Orange juice was actually “orange squash”. We had to ask for toast, sauces, etc, when breakfast was out down and ended up waiting to eat. No cold cereals or fruit offered. As there are so many choices in Rye, we wouldn’t return.

We took our dog for a lovely long walk at Camber Sands this morning and decided to grab a bite to eat on the way back home. We dropped into a couple of places, unfortunately they were not allowing us to bring our dog inside, some places do and some do not.We came up to the The Kings Head Inn and I popped in to see if they would allow dogs, fortunately the answer was yes.One word to describe the Kings Head Inn "OUTSTANDING" not only was it superbly presented inside it was also very spacious and lovely and warm. They have a very comprehensive menu and we were struggled to make a choice, with so many gorgeous dishes on offer I was like a kid in a sweet shop.I settled on a Chicken breast burger with all the trimmings, coleslaw and chunky tripple cooked fries and it was absolutely fantastic. The service was impeccable, very attentive waitress and the owner was really friendly, even brought out a few dog biscuits for our furry friend. There is absolutely nothing that I would be able to suggest to improve our experience. Not only do they own the Kings Head Inn in Rye, they also have three other places, all privately owned. There is the "Swan Inn" at Sandhurst, the "Ship Inn" at Dymchurch and "Fletchers House" which is also in Rye and if the "Kings Head Inn" is any to go by, you can expect a superb dinning experience.10 out of 10 and highly recommended.

We were looking for a place to eat after a drive to the coast and saw a sign by the side of a field advertising The Kings Head with directions. Thought we'd give it a try and we were so pleased we did!We had a very warm welcome and shown immediately to a table, even though they were very busy.Lovely setting, with a welcoming ambience. Everywhere was spotlessly clean (I judge a place by the cleanliness of it's toilets) and staff meticulously cleaned tables/chairs too.We had a 3 course meal, which not only was absolutely delicious (compliments to the Chef!) but beautifully presented too.All staff were excellent, very friendly and polite. Overall, fantastic value for money and a little gem.....highly recommend trying it. We will definitely be returning! See you soon 😊

We really enjoyed our experience of Sunday lunch here. Everything from the staff to the comfortable pub interior is first class. The meal was excellent and if anything...just a bit too much when it came to the hock of pork! We left with 2 take outs that amounted to another 4 servings at home. Beautifully cooked to tasty perfection. We'll be returning very soon. Thank you to all of the team.

Not your usual pub fayre! Yes they have the staples such as burgers, pizza, fish and chips etc, but their specials board is varied and reasonably priced.Plenty of options for all tastes and scrumptious desserts, if you have the room. The staff were very accommodating and you could clearly tell that they enjoyed their job as they were all very bubbly (in a good way).At times it did seem they were a little understaffed since it took a little longer to get drinks and food ordered, but overall a lovely evening out with family.Would go back if ever to find ourselves in the area.
