The Ostrich Hotel in Rother

Stopped in after a lovely weekend in the town. Had an amazing Sunday roast and they were great with changing up some of the dishes for us. Good price and a stunning garden

Absolutely love The Ostrich.. Tony and all of the staff great.. People first. Sunday lunch is brilliant. A proper pub to properly relax in. A lovely garden to sit in.. Unlike any other pub, this is a unique place. We love it!

Visited this lovely pub today for a quick one on the way to the train station. Friendly landlady and locals made us feel really welcome within minutes of walking through the door! I wish I was more local but I’ll definitely be back

One of the best pubs in the UK!

We were first attracted by the extraordinarily, lush beer garden and then decided to stay a night. This place only gets better! Quirky Victorian decor - a labour of love by the wonderful owners Tony and Rosemary who clearly puts people before profit. An unforgettable stay - we will be back!

Cosy and quiet. Enjoyed a drink and the staff were warm and welcoming.

A warm welcoming pub with open fire and interesting decor. Landlord, his wife, and the locals were really friendly and entertaining. Right next to the station so perfect for a quick few before catching the train.

Missed our train to London so went in. Great pint of Harveys and very nice people.

Stayed over a weekend if there had been any other place to stay I would have gone for it. I opened bedside cabinet and there were books in it but thats not all, there were things moving around on the books so I shut the cabinet quick. There had been a leak from room above, I could tell by the marks on the ceiling and wall. No bulbs in bedside lamps. Crack in windows and door. I could go on. Tony the landlord was very helpful though.
