You’ve just passed a great pub! Is the sign I have driven passed at least five times before I figured out what was coming up and pulled in. After 2:00pm on a weekday but the full menu was available with only one dish missing form ‘dishes of the day’. Lots is space in doors abs out, ample parking, good for groups, friends or family - or in my case lunch!

Very nice food. Roast potatoes bit under cooked. But good service. Will go there again.

Lovely meal at The Squirrel last week! I had the beef in red wine pie which was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. My only disappointment was the restaurant itself which was little more than a lean-to attached to the bar. No flooring making it extremely noisy and no atmosphere. A re-vamp and a little bit of flooring would make it much nicer and in keeping with the nice bar area.

Fabulous place well worth the drive from Brighton. Food and service 5 stars, good choice of menu and ample portions. Car park not too large so at busy times you may have to park on the verge. Excellent

Had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Squirrel. Friendly welcome from the landlord and all the staff were great too. Meals were very good, very generous servings. Never seen such a huge rack of ribs. One very slight negative was the veg on the roast dinners was a little on the firm side. However that didn't takeaway much from an overall excellent time

We visited The Squirrel Inn on a Friday evening, it was not too busy but had a nice atmosphere, the staff were really friendly and attentive and the food was delicious, the menu is varied but we were greeted by a whole extra A4 sheet of specials, so choosing was a delight but even more complicated!! The only slight disappointment was the mojito cocktail my wife ordered, it just tasted of lime cordial and water, we couldn't detect any rum at all! But otherwise a lovely evening and we look forward to going back really soon.

Booked in today for lunch. As a family group of 6 adults with our dogs, we were seated in a comfortable annex area. It was very busy, and as we were early, our table wasn’t quite ready. We were made welcome however, and were served some drinks while we waited. Once seated, we settled in and allowed the staff to look after us, which they did very well. The food was very good, and we enjoyed a lovely relaxed lunch. A big thank you to all the staff including those behind the scenes as we truly had a most enjoyable afternoon. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Came here as a big group which normally spells trouble, but to my delight there were no problems.Food arrived promptly and was good quality. Helpful staff and a nice atmosphere 🙂 definitely recommend.

I’m not sure about this place. It is excellent in the beer department. Great Harvey’s bitter from down the road. But the restaurant seems to be struggling a bit, probably due to the pandemic and other factors. The food was ok. But I was not wowed. It promises better, hopefully one day it will deliver.

Good Sunday roast with good selection of drinks and food. The menu on Sunday is a standard Sunday roast with all the choices. I had beef and lamb and it came with a Yorkshire pudding and plenty of vegetables. Was a decent meal and didn't even finish my plate there was a lot.Would recommend making a reservation and they took Covid19 very seriously with good tables and staff clearly cleaning and good social distancing.Good value too lovely garden if it's sunny!
