The Standard Inn in Rother

Stayed for one night and had dinner too. Room was very charming as well as clean and well stocked. Pub downstairs is very lovely. We weren’t too hungry for dinner so order a kids meal (for adults) and weren’t made to feel awkward about it. It was actually very good value too, came with a dessert as well, might start doing this at more pubs… anyway, very lovely place, would highly recommend.

Five of us had lunch here yesterday and five of us had clean plates. Great food at a great price!! Very tasty and great service and fantastic that it's dog friendly xXx

As someone who runs a business in hospitality I can appreciate it when I see staff working tirelessly with such efficiency.4 of us went last Tuesday. At 6.30 it was already busy which often suggests that quality awaits. We weren’t disappointed. The Korean chicken wings were a definite ‘go to’ and I had Thai mussels with side order of frites. A decent Spanish red complemented the food.Finally, the staff were both courteous and efficient. It’s an inviting place with great attention to detail and we really couldn’t fault it.

Had an amazing Sunday roast here. The quality of the food was spot on. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Rye!

Wow!! What a memorable night at this place! We were out in the street looking for a place to eat when local bypassers told us to come here because it had the best food in town. They were spot on. Everything we tried was to die for, specially the sticky toffee pudding. Our server was so friendly, wish we remembered her name. Dishes were devoured before we could take pictures. Don’t miss it!

My partner and I had dinner in the pub. Food was excellent. Seafood was cooked just right. The fruit crumble was scrumptious. The establishment and staff were also more than welcoming to our dog. Would definitely recommend.

What a food experience. We went for seafood starter and mains and everything was perfect. Finished it with the best crumble! Dog-friendly which was great as we had our dog. Huge recommend from me.

A cosy, warning and pooch-friendly pub. The food is delicious and the surrounding around the inn is very pretty! I can understand why they won 2 local pub of the year. I have only been to the restaurant but the rooms available look beautiful. Would recommend and would come back! 🍻
