The Union Steakhouse in Rother

We enjoyed a family birthday meal.The food was excellent and the staff were really helpful-even preventing us from over-ordering.Everything we ordered was excellent but my favourite was the jalapeño dressing with the oysters. The prices were very reasonable for the quality (particularly the wine list) especially when you compare to London prices.We will definitely return.

Mostly positive but way overly salty pork croquettes (could not finish). Atmosphere chilled with nice laid back electro-lounge music, friendly staff, good wine. Tasting dishes are well sized.

Staff were overly attentive, to the point that they were interrupting our conversations. Food was nothing to write home about, but okay I guess. Cocktails were average at best. Plenty of better options in Rye if you want a nice night out..

Food was amazing but the service just disappeared after the main course waited 40 mins to order coffee and cake no one even came over so got up paid no tip disappointing end to good food

Creative and delicious food. Friendly service too. Prices are fair but more like London (spent £80 for two people with a glass of wine each)

Food was very good and I like the sharing theme. Table service was just ok. Cleared while I was still eating (a pet hate) & there was a grumpy millennial who seemed miffed that I asked her for something!! May have just been me! However, those where very minor elements, highly recommended!!

Phenomenal. We visited today with our newborn and had a delightful experience, wonderful welcoming hostess', amazing food and great facilities.Added to my top 10 for sure! Cannot wait to visit again 🤩

The restaurant itself was lovely! Had a really nice and calm atmosphere with the slow jazz music playing, the fireplace lit and the overall feel and vibe to experience. Staff were really friendly, great service and they were quick to refill water and were extremely helpful. The food ordered was absolutely lovely, I feel the restaurant was overly fancy with the menu, and the range of food on the menu was limited but the food we ordered and had was perfect.

I thought this place was wonderful. The standout for me was the lamb with green sauce - perfectly delicious and a lovely big portion. Followed by the buttermilk pudding with ginger plums -scrumptious. Our server was also fantastic :)

Food was incredible and the staff were very nice and helpful!Prices are on the expensive side but you definitely get value for your money.We would definitely come back!
