Had a late lunch here after long walk around the town. Delicious food - particularly daily specials! Warm and cosy atmosphere. Quiet music in background allows chatting comfortably. Great location. A bit pricey, but absolutely worth it.

Observant and attentive bartender/waitress. Tasty, good quality food. We had Mulled Wine, Raspberry juice, Garden pizza and Waffles.

Welcoming and traditional pub that does not disappoint. Staff are excellent and helpful. The ales are brilliant and the atmosphere is always convivial. Haven't tried the food but it does looks like great fare. Difficult to find another pub in Rye that ticks so many boxes !

Nice pub, amazing pizza! Crispy and tasty. Shame they said they were open until 1am on new year's eve, but were closed when we returned at 11pm. Hence 3 stars. Pizza was 5.

We only popped in for a drink and this is apparently the oldest pub in Rye, so why not. We both had a pint of Ye Olde Bell, and it was a pretty decent pint of ale, nice and smooth. I love these old pubs, so much more character than the new trendy bars. As it is 600 yrs d, its not very big, roughly 10 tables

Lovely pub with amazing staff. Burger absolutely delicious! Best pizza in town. Great atmosphere and they serve refreshing Pravha - czech pilsner. "Must go" on the map.

·

Lovely little pub with a small garden on the roadside. Staff were friendly and service was good. Homemade burgers were nice and the pizza had a lovely thin crust.

·

A really great little spot for lunch! Burgers, pizza or salad? It is all presented really well, good sized portions, fresh and tasty. The food came quickly too, with super friendly staff.#hungryvicar

Maybe I am biased but I haven't been to many venues in Rye that do not have excellent service and The Old Bell is no exception. An impressive menu and very reasonable drink prices. A spacious outside seating area under an old wisteria. Stop and have a relaxing drink.

We were welcomed into the oldest pub in Rye on the first night of our short getaway by very friendly and approachable staff. The pub itself is a very quaint and characteristic building, cosy yet lively. The food was a bargain, very tasty but excellent price. None of this £12.95 stuff. Just straight £9 or £11 etc etc. There was no pressure to leave or eat up quickly. The food was served in brilliant time. Could not recommend this pub enough. Simple menu choice but I wouldn't want anything else in a pub. First place we ate at and most probably the choice for day two!
