Really warm welcome, great food . . . and we were even given some of the new menu for us to try (which was equally delicious!) Be warned though - the portion size of the tiramisu is epic . . . you only need one between two! The peach and raspberry pavlova is absolutely divine. Really engaged staff who knew the menu really well. Thank you so much for a lovely night Bar 136!

A lovely independent bistro in Egham with relaxed atmospheric setting. Booked a company Group Dinner catering for 12 diners with varied needs and what can I say. They delivered fabulous starters and mains plus excellent service with small team tonight.Definitely a must go to place if staying nearby

A must-visit here in Egham. We were so glad we visited. Delicious flavours, pleasant service and ambience. Locals coming in just for a coffee after grocery shopping were warmly welcomed, and the pricing is reasonable. Would love to try their desserts next time.

Wow wow wow!!!This place is the best. How the front of house greet you and make you feel welcome to the decor and espxially the food!! Wow! Dave and Luke produce some of the best food ive ever had.Im an executive chef and took my boss and head of hospitality of my work and they were both blown away.

There's always a lovely atmosphere in here and great service, not to mention fantastic food! Everything was delicious and you can see how much care and attention goes into each dish. The chicken and chorizo terrine and stuffed breast of Guinea fowl were really special. A great place to treat yourself!

Always loved coming here when I lived in Egham, food has been good for at least 30 years! Last time I was here was 3 years ago for breakfast and I've been thinking about the mushrooms ever since. Nicest mushrooms I've ever had, anywhere. I've no idea how they cooked them but OMG. The croque Madame I had was also very tasty. Can't wait to go back!

Lovely coffee stop for a morning meeting. Encouraged to enjoy the sunshine outside in the garden area by the very helpful staff. Will be back again, to give the food a try.

I went to a fantastic birthday dinner here the other week, and I must say the whole experience was impeccable. The food is very high quality, both in terms of its presentation and taste, and the service provided by staff is always warm and welcoming. Brunch is also a wonderful experience, offering a continental menu at a very reasonable price. I’d you have to choose one place in Egham to eat at, you can’t do better than here

Went for a birthday celebration last night and to say we left disappointed is an understatement.The starters arrived promptly and were delicious, and we felt like we were in for a great evening.But then the wheels fell off.Our mains arrived an hour after we sat down, and, again were lovely but we then sat in front of our empty plates for over 50 minutes. (I took a photo of my meal when it arrived, which was time stamped)My partner ordered a drink when our mains were presented, which never arrived and had I not asked for the bill, I think we’d have sat there with our dirty plates much longer.The three waitresses simply couldn’t keep up with the number of diners that had been seated.We didn’t complain to them because we know full well it wasn’t their fault. Having a son who has also worked in a grossly understaffed restaurant, it’s not fair on the servers who are doing their best on minimum wage to allow that many diners sit down.We’d intended to have coffees, liqueurs and dessert but instead, over 2 hours and only 2 courses later, we went to The Crown and finished our evening there.We’d chosen Bar163 on the basis of the chef, and whilst the food he’d produced was lovely, the service (or lack thereof) ruined our experience.It’s such a shame as we won’t return to the restaurant and certainly won’t recommend it to anyone.

We booked for our Christmas lunch. Food was lovely. Staff friendly and even changed our table as we were very cramped on the first one.We preordered which ment quicker service.I would eat there again only downside is no parking at the restaurant so had to park at tesco carpark and walk thru the allyway to the high street.
