Nice interior to relax in after an exploration of the park nearby! The coffee is good and there’s a nice selection of ice cream, sandwiches and crisps. We had the soup of the day (tomato and red pepper) which was delicious and came with a nice thick slice of bread.

Visited with my son and daughter today ,march 2022. We live local and have been here many times over the years. What a disappointment, staff not interested, food not good. Scones in particular very hard. This is a tourist trap, surely you can do better than this.

Stupidity small car park. Obviously need to open the seasonal car park in half term, but for some reason they don't.

Slow service, no outdoor seating, only 4 tables, not cycle friendly with the bike racks out of sight, and they seem to close at will.

The worst place I have been, after I been in the magna Carta in 2009 is a beautiful place to have a nice pot of tea and now,is plastic cups and is disgusting to working with you mud in the floor and don't good service for the staff,I am very disposition with the experience, never going to have me any more

We have been visiting this tea room for years. The food hasn’t always been great. They sometimes run out of cakes so only had coffee. On 24th January 2020, we ordered two cream teas. The scones were burnt and hard. They looked like rock cakes. Was told by staff they were soft inside. When I finally cut mine open it was just as bad inside as outside. The staff were rude and arguing in front of customers. I wrote an email over two weeks ago and have received no reply. Don’t waste your money or your time. Disgraceful service and they clearly do not take complaints seriously. I’m now taking the matter further. I would have given less than 1* if I had the option. Never going there again. National Trust, this is a disgrace and represents you as an organisation.

Lovely tea room with delicious cheese scones. Car parking charges apply. 😊

A bit dull, not much food to choose from, tables weren’t cleaned. It was okay but nothing special

What a lovely surprise! Years ago it was a place forgotten by the gods. Visited 2 weeks ago: a warm, cosy, great place. Had a home-made mushroom soup - couldn't believe how delicious it was! Thank you, National Trust!
