Great tasty food, excellent service and very generous portions! Great place and value for money for family Sunday lunch!!!

Me and my friend (pictured) drove here and were able to park conveniently right in front of the pub! The staff were extremely friendly, one of them even laughed at my jokes which is a rarity. The Guinness was superb and this can be telling of the establishment as a whole. They also offered us a rewards card on arrival which gifted a free pint for every six purchased - very handy if you're going as a large group! The Heineken silver wasn't for us but you can't please everyone in this day and age. Will definitely be back here in the near future.

Nice location and staff. We had Sunday roast. Although there was no red cabbage as the menu says or any greens.. would be nice. Carrots and Parsnips should of been cooked a bit more.

My husband & I had a lovely roast dinner today. Perfectly cooked. Clear plates all around us great sign of good food.Desserts were nice too.Customer service was excellent.

Great to see it open again after so long. Went for curry night. The food was delicious! The staff were very friendly. Definitely go again. 👍

Visited The Castle for the first time in 2 years for a Friday night dinner. The new owners greeted us warmly. There was a good selection of ales and lagers on offer, and the food menu was varied. We ordered different mains, and both were exceptionally well cooked and presented. We had the same dessert, and that was very nice, tooOverall, we were very pleased with our visit and will return regularly.

Very friendly. New menu. Cold at lunchtime though they were lighting the fire so smokey. Fish chips fine but ordinary. Chicken club with soup much better. No real view and decor straightforward. Reasonably expensive we felt.

·

Really good, enjoyed a few pints of Harvey's west Sussex beer.friendly landlord.

Lovely old pub / restaurant recently re opened with new management after being shut through most of the Pandemic. Good range of Beers and Largers although service appeared to be a bit slow on the evening I visited. Friendly atmosphere and staff though.

Excellent home made roast dinner, always busy on Sunday lunch so booking recommended. Have always found the staff to be friendly, landlord is a bit eccentric, but adds to the quirkiness! Good place for a quick pint or a more leisurely at up with friends.
